What is the most interesting handgun you own?

My HK 4 will launch .22 rimfire, .25 Auto, .32 Auto, and .380, by swapping out barrels (with attached recoil springs) and magazines; caliber changes take less than 30 seconds.

The pistol that attracts most interest at the range is my Automag II in .22 Magnum, with 4 inch barrel. It spews a delightful fireball, and produces a loud & sharp muzzle blast: "Watcha shootin' there, pal?"

I would like to know the history

I have a Colt Model 1911 made in 1917. I bought it in 1968 and
it is in excellent condition. It must have a great story to tell.
But I will never know.

Unfired Thompson/Center Patriot. .45 black powder, double-set triggers, hooded adjustable target sights, brass furniture, pretty walnut. Factory burned down, none have been made for years.

This is one of them for sure and I think I have posted it on here before. I call it the Government Defender, the slide, barrel, hammer, ejector and all the other internals came from a Colt Defender and the frame came from a U.S. Property 1911 that was recovered from a house fire, I had to cut the dust cover down a little so it would not stick out past the barrel. I know…… It’s butt ugly! But it has been totally reliable and accurate too. Since the frame has been in a fire I shoot mostly 200 grain lead bullets out of it.

That's pretty cool cottonmouth :)

I was shooting my S&W 60-Pro the other day and thought that even though it is current production, you don't see very many and it always seems to draw attention when I take it shooting.

IMO it's somehwat of an anomaly being a 3" J frame with a target crown, adjustable rear sight, front night sight, slab side and chopped lug.

I carry it a lot, shoot it a lot, but by design it's not a great range gun, not a great target gun and not a great carry gun but it does all three very well...
