What is your dream revolver?

I dream about getting one of each of these that is unfired in all original condition. The top is my 357 Registered Magnum and the bottom is one of my pre-war 38/44 Outdoorsman.

I know they are out there, just beyond my budget.

A newly-produced S&W No.3 Russian, except chambered in something like .44 Special. With 50% engraving.

A 6" Registered magnum, with roughly ~35% hand engraving, and a nice Tyler T would be pretty spiffy.

A S&W 17.

A 6" half-lug model 629 with about 75% engraving.

A Webly Mk. VI that was actually designed to chamber .45ACP, and had one of those rimless ejector systems so that it could take and eject them.

A S&W model 620, except with a 6-shot cylinder. Sort of a 686, but with a half-lug barrel. (not that my 7-shot one isn't cool and all.....).

A 5" Model 66.

dream gun?

i'd like something between that little silver hand cannon that Will Smith had in "MIB" and one of those portable rail guns from the movie "ERASER"....hey, as long as your just dream'n....:D

Here's mine. A 27-2 3.5" it has to be my favorite looking guns next to a 2.5" Python. This is one of the 3 I have all mint in the boxes with the oldest from 66, this one is from 74 and the Case is also from 72 unused and unsharpened. This is a expensive hobby!

+ 1 on the Iz-Mech MP-412. I'd love to have the poly framed break top revolver in my collection. Just something about them.

I've heard that there are some serious pressure differences between .455 Webly and .45ACP, and that a cut-down .455 cylinder might be very unsafe for use with .45ACP.

Plus, I'd rather not have to use moonclips

I didn't know that. Thanks, I was actually thinking about it. You probably saved me a hand, so again Thanks.

I'll play...

1. A Colt New Service in .45 Colt with a 4.5" barrel. Colt's royal blue finish with ivory target grips.

2. Another Colt New Service in 45 Colt, but a 2" barreled Fitz Special. Again with Colt's royal blue finish, converted to a round butt configuration, with ivory boot grips.

The stuff that dreams are made of...

Malamute, hogshead, and me, too. :) I dream of SAAs, and yes, for carryin'. Tastefully engraved, of course, though I have yet to settle on the type and coverage. Being a reader of Elmer Keith, though, I would like something with adjustable sights, or at least higher-profile fixed sights. I would want a Bisley-like custom hammer spur that sits a little lower than the SAA hammer spur. Custom grips, of course, though I waver between several options.

I do own a couple of SAAs, and some excellent USFA replicas, but none are yet customized nor engraved. I am blessed to live near Alan Harton, a truly talented up-and-coming sixgun 'smith, so my dream gun is not only feasible, but I can drop it off, visit it during its progress, and pick it up in person. (It would have to be shipped out for engraving, unless I obtained it as an engraved piece to start with.)

I would like a fixed sight 5 shot 4 inch S&W L frame in 45 Colt or 45 Auto Rim.

Velocity diminishes but mass is constant. Physics is (are?) a wonderful thing.

Okay, maybe a top-break, gas-seal, double-action 6-shooter in 45 ACP. Quietest shooting large-caliber revolver around. Next I'd like it in a 5" barrel, with last 2" being an integral suppressor that would work way better than any 2" long suppressor currently in existence, plus the BATF wouldn't charge you the xfer tax.

Failing that, I'd like a nice Smith & Wesson 625. :)
