A small Buck knock-off off E-Bay I paid $5 bucks shipped to my door from China. A knife is made to cut, and it does that very well.

Nothing wrong with that as long as it meets your needs. Like you said a knives job is to cut and as long as it does the job for you then thats all that matters.

Sorry had to chuckle at the when I wear khaki comment. Why only Khakis?

Quite a few of us choose to carry differant knives depending on how we are dressed. Or what we will be doing.

For instance when in jeans at work I carry a 4" Spyderco Military.

After work and weekends I usually wear shorts.Lighter fabric, slightly shorter front pockets So I carry a 3.4" Paramilitary 2.

When my better half forces me to dress nice in slacks I carry a 3" Native 5 Lightweight.

But I also carry a 4.125" stainless Police with spyderedge inside my waistband everday. [emoji4] That knife is so thin it's un-noticable and comfortable there.

I will have to take a photo, but the knife was a wedding gift given to my grandmother on the day she married my grandfather. Granddaddy knew he had a great woman but a lot of a tomboy in my grandma. He gave her a pearl handled case knife which was entirely too fancy for her and was rarely carried or used, but was treasured. It is now mine, as is an identical one which I actually carry.

For most of my life I've carried a scout pattern knife: a spear blade, a can opener, punch, and bottle opener/flat tip screwdriver. Presently it's a Vic Soldier.

The other day I picked up a made in China Ozark Trail lockback folder at Uncle Wally's for $ 1.97 .
Right now, the knife is hanging on my garden fence as it's very handy for harvesting veggies.
Maybe I'll go get a few more to have on hand as gifts for my non-knife carrying friends !

My top two right now are my Spyderco Delica 4 and Spyderco Lum Chinese folder. Although Kizer knives are starting to really grow on me.

One of my 4 lefty Chris Reeve Sebenzas in my left pocket, and a Spyderco Delica 4, combo edge in my right pocket. If I'm in sweats, then it's either a Carter Cutlery or Rick Hinderer neck knife. Starting up my own knife business though, so I expect to be carrying one or more of my own soon :)

My favorite is probably the Benchmade mini-stryker with Axis lock that my wife got me a couple of years ago. It's probably getting close to having the most pocket time of any "tactical" folder I've ever carried. Real close second is the plain SAK Tinker that I've carried for 10+ years now. That never changes, even if the clip on knives do.

Spyderco Paramilitary 2. It's the knife that made me stop looking for knives. I used to be really active on BladeForums but I'm not there nearly as often as I once was simply because I don't really have much to talk about anymore.

I have a whole bunch of them in a variety of steels, but I'm perfectly happy with the plain black G10/S30V version.

I usualy have sone kind of a knife on me,most of the time I have either a Buck,or Uncle Henry 3 bladed stockmans knife in my pocket, and a Leatherman Tool and MiniMaglight on my belt . sometimes I have the Buck110 on the belt. Most of the time though the small pocket knives are enough to do the job.

buffing

I have to buff the scratches out of the blade but they came from honest work...A Paul knife. 271747A6-D128-4DB4-A9F8-B3D06631E2F8.jpg

My Spyderco Domino blue weave carbon fiber scale. Its been my number 1 EDC since I bought it.

I'm a little over two weeks into owning a ZT 0562CF and I'm pretty dang happy with it.

Victorinox SAK that my mom bought me before my first big Boy Scout camp a million years ago. It's been in my pocket most every day since. Sure there's BETTER knives out there, but she didn't buy me one of those, so this is what I'll carry.

^^^ man I love the Carbon fiber Szabo...

is the first one a Kevlar handle?

Never get tired of seeing Spyderco Photos

CF and gold coloured wire.

"The Szabo’s generously sized handle is constructed of full stainless steel liners capped by Gold Line carbon fiber/G-10 laminate scales. This striking material consists of an outer layer of carbon fiber embedded with gold-colored wire that is laminated to a G-10 base layer. Visually stunning yet incredibly durable, it provides a secure, non-slip grip."
