I like the fixed Novak Low-Mount sights. I have the bar-dot night sights and much prefer them to the three-dot ones.

I like the Brazos FO front/MMC WO adj rear on my Kimber Classic, Ashley (XS 24/7) Big Dot , and my SIG's 'dot the i' stock sights as well as any. They're all pretty quick to acquire and align. Three dots are slower/less precise for me.

For target shooting, bo-mar, no doubt.
Long range, any good V-notch, gold dot sight.
Woods rifle, peep sights.
Action, 15 yards, lo-mount novaks, bar-dot, anything open, fast, and with lots of paint.
Self defense, revolver: Fixed, open cut, well regulated, complimented by a crimson trace setup.
Self defense, auto: Nights, accented by paint, open cut, same as action except with tritium.

BoMars are what i prefer, but I have a set of second generation Wichitas on my Springfield. I'm kinda happy to see all the choices for full size black sights without paint, inserts, vials, road flares....anyway they work for me.

regular old three dot sights, they are the easiest for me, i have been strongly considering the xs 24/7 sights though, they are alot like the khar sights. the looly pop as i call them!
