Wow! Lotta love for Wilhelm Bubits here--a Steyr M9, a Walther P99, and a Caracal F! (And of course, we all know that he was also the brains behind the Glock 17 )

Of those I currently own, I'll go with Kahr--P45 or PM9.
For those I have owned in the past, I'll go woth any old HK P7--the M13 would be my favorite. :)

I've had Glocks and XDs (note the use of the past tense), and neither compares to the Kahr or the P7.

I voted with my dollars. Ruger!
SR9c, 40c and their full sized brothers.
I did own a Glock but I traded it in.

Lateck,

here is mine:

HK P9S in .45 ACP:

It's my most accurate plastic frame gun.

Very nice!

@Jath

where has the fns been tested extensivley, i can't find any literature on it. i'd like to read on it. i'd also like tho throw more rounds through it.

This is an easy one for me Walther PPQ! All day! I absolutely love it...waiting to pick one up...anyone want to buy an M&P9 with an APEX DCAEK, Blade-tech revolution holster (Gun and Mag..like this holster better than the Comp-tac I had), and 6 Mags ready...haha! This gun is ready for IDPA and Action Shooting! No seriously I love the PPQ so much...I am selling my tricked out M&P. Which I do shoot pretty well..especially since I figured out why I was shooting it so bad. My M&P was my favorite now I just cant get enough of the PPQ!

thanks for the literature on the fns....also, never shot a ppq. actually, i've never shot a walther at all
although test's on forums are quite the same...i disagree with the whole safety issue on the firearm... if you don't want the safety dont have it on haha

Me.:D

G17, for sure. My only Glock since 1989. It fits my hand very nicely, and I can hit targets quickly and squarely. Nothing will ever replace it. :D

Was Wilhelm Bubits involved with the P99 design as well? I thought he was involved with the Glock, Steyr, and Caracal, but not the Walther. While Horst Wesp was involved with the Glock, Steyr, and Walther designs, but not the Caracal.

As for favorite striker fired pistols, I shoot the PPQ best, I find the PPS as the easiest concealable pistol for me to shoot well with, and the P99 was the best balance as far as shootability and concealability for me before these other two were released.

good catch! seems like there is a lit of lore surrounding Bubits especially when it comes to his working at Walther.

I cannot find any credible source to confirm what (if anything)he did @ Walther and I agree that it looks like he was not the guy who gets the official credit for the P99 (or the PPS which is another gun that people someitmes attribute to Bibits...)

So I retract my early assertion about the P99 and the Glock 17--pure rumors until I learn otherwise
