What is your favorite type of lockwork on a pistol?

I was going to set this up as a poll but it is too complicated for that here.

I prefer either a SAO or DAO lockwork on a pistol and don't like the traditional DA/SA at all. In fact I would not own a pistol with a DA/SA lockwork unless I just had no other choice. The only caveat is that the DAO trigger pull must not be too long or heavy. Like a 20 to 30 pound trigger pull would be too much. I like the DAK trigger on SIGs and I own a Glock.

So, given the three basic types of lockwork available on pistols these days ( yes I know there are other variations available ) which is your favorite and would you ever own a pistol with either of the other two variations available?

Oh, I thought this might be more historic. I was gonna pick matchlock.

In modern defensive handguns, I tend to like DAO the best.

I prefer DAO (striker fired). I own DA/SA and wouldn't rule out more in the future but I have no desire for SAO at the moment.

No question for me, definitely SAO. I can certainly deal with SA/DA, and most of the autos I own are, but I shoot them typically only in single action. Striker is.. ok , but typically I don't like the triggers on striker pistols without some serious tuning. DAO pistols though, I simply cannot stand. I don't shoot them well, I don't like how they feel, and I have no intention of ever owning any. While I enjoy revolvers, I think not having to shoot in DA it's the biggest advantage of the auto for me. There's nothing quite like a finely tuned SAO trigger. Luckily there are options out there for all of us, to each their own.

For the shear fun of shooting and plinking, I will go with a tuned SAO system on a 1911.

For carry, I tend to lean more toward the striker fired system, Glock specifically.

DAO is OK for me as long as it's not any heavier than that of a decent revolver, but overall I most prefer striker-fired actions with intermediate weights--heavy enough to make shooting a decidedly deliberate act (along with some pre-travel), but still substantially lighter than that of a typical DAO. That's for combat, anyway. For shooting targets, SAO seems ideal to me.

I prefer a nice and consistent light DAO or a nice and consistent light SAO (3 to 6 lbs. trigger-pull).

I really don't care if it has a hammer or a striker, but I don't care for manual safeties on my pistols.

And I agree with the original poster about the DA/SA design.
It is my least favorite.

I/we prefer DA/SA with hammers and decockers (Ruger P97 mine- Beretta IA Elite Brigadier 96 for the wife) we have others but those we prefer much above them for every day use.
