I have always thought what is a perfect pair in revolvers. Mine is a S&W m65 and a S&W m642. What is your pair?

I don't have a picture of them together, but it would be my Dan Wesson 715 4 VH and my Dan Wesson 722 4 VH. Exactly the same gun, different caliber. Both set up with virtually identical DA/SA trigger pull, same weight, size, sights, one in .357 Mag and one in .22 LR.

My "perfect pair" is a S&W 696 primary and a Charter Bulldog Pug for backup. .44 Spl times two. Iggy, you have a serious problem. I don't think there is a cure as yet. But thank you for the NICE photos. Those break tops are simply divine.

My matched pair are my Smith model 66 4" in .357 magnum and Smith 651 4" in .22 magnum, they aren't as pretty as some I've seen here. But they are deadly accurate. I have owned them both for a long time and accustomed to them.

I'd like to pair my 12-2 with a .38/44 but I don't have one yet. My only pair is a birdshead Uberti 3.5" with a stainless Blackhawk 5.5", both in .45LC. Iggy, love the pics. I'd love to add a Freedom Arms 83 in .454 to the mix, it's a better match to the Ruger.

My babies, Ruger Blackhawks one 4 5/8" and one 7 1/2" both have .45 Colt cylinders the 4 5/8 has a 45 ACP cylinder as well. The grips are Eagle sambar stag from back when they were affordable.

I would say my Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 and my Blackhawk .357 I would like to add a single-six for a nice threesome.

    Model 28, 4" and Model 36, square butt, 2".

Problem is, I only have the Model 36 at the moment. For the last ten years, I've always wanted a Model 28 4". I've passed on so many over the years. I used to laugh when someone was asking more than $400 for one. Now I look back and cry because everyone I see is over $550...

To me, a perfect pair of anything is two things that compliment each other by having each one fulfill a separate and distinct role, rather than two guns that are almost identical.

My perfect pair is a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 Mag with 5.5" barrel, and a Ruger LCR in .38 Special.

    I own neither. :D

if I'm going to have a pair, they're going to be functional and both serve a purpose... working off my own collection I'd go with my Ruger GP100 3" and my Dan Wesson 15-2 with 8" both in .357 mag - carry with ease when you want it, or reach out and touch something when you need it.
