For awhile I used this Mernickle PS-6SA holster, carried under a vest or jacket. However, as I have aged some it cramps my arm to draw from this high of carry:

I'm currently using this modified Tom Threepersons holster as made by Graveyard Jack Gunleather:

And just in case the .45 is down or in the shop:

I know many disagree with it but my most often used method is appendix without a holster. I am a contractor so I am bending and squatting often. I have not found a holster that doesn't bite me or dig in. I have also never had my pistol fall out using this method. Slide it in and pull my shirt over the grip. Good to go.

Pocket carry for me. I've tried IWB at 4-5 o'clock several times with different guns and holsters, but keep going back to pocket carry. Most of my shirts aren't that long, so it never fails that my shirt will end up riding on the grip of my handgun instead of covering it when carrying IWB. IWB carry is also extremely uncomfortable for me in a car, and living 20+ minutes from any store will give me a back ache for sure. I've found its much easier to just slip a gun in my pocket when I get to the store, than to try to put on and position a holster in the parking lot!

I did try appendix carry out over the weekend, and it might be the solution for me. It was comfortable (and accessible) while driving, and being in the front I never exposed it when I'd lean over or squat in a store.

Most days I carry my CM9 or CW9 in a HighNoon belt holster; I've changed my wardrobe to longer shirts to help conceal it. I think long shirts look sloppy (probably my military training...) so I've always avoided them, but necessity is the mother of invention, or thereabouts, and now I favor longer shirts.

I finally got my Alessi shoulder holster for my Kahrs (9-month wait, worth it...) so now on longer trips I strap up. Much more comfortable for setting in the drivers seat, and, of course, almost instant access to the pistol even while seated.

I design and make my own holsters. My favorite is a tuckable IWB with high leather -- so the gun doesn't touch the skin when worn IWB. This holster can be worn tucked, untucked, or OWB as a pancake holster.

Pocket, 3 o'clock IWB, 3 o'clock OWB and appendix IWB. Pocket carry is the most comfortable and what I go with most often.

OWB with a good high-rise pancake holster is as concealable -- with any caliber choice -- as the most comfortable IWB holsters.

Once again, a good belt/holster combo with even the most lightweight cover garment is typically one's best option. Most folks tend to overthink concealment and choose to carry sub-optimum handguns (read: pitiful caliber) because they're afraid of "printing."

If I am walking in the woods it's a good bet I have a heavy handgun in OWB, as in on a gunbelt and mounted crossdraw.

I'd open carry if it was allowed and I didn't have to disarm at work.
So usually it's a Taurus M85 dropped right into an empty pocket--I do intend to get a pocket holster eventually--or my Ruger SR9c IWB at about 4:00.
Surprisingly, my $20 kydex ebay holster works very nicely.
I just can't stand anything squeezing tightly on me like an ankle holster. Body hair probably causes that issue, but even the knee brace I have to wear when the weather changes quickly gets uncomfortable.
I also can't stand tucking my shirt in at the best of times, let alone with a gun under them.

The climate being what it is in SW FL, I usually ankle carry, inside of the left leg as I'm a righty. Been doin it so long, I forget its there most times. Also not an issue when getting in and out of cars all day long, as I do.
Course it helps that I don't wear shorts. Ever.
Nobody wants to see that......:what::p
I thought everyone in Florida wore shorts? Ankle carry with shorts would require those knee high athletic socks no? ;)

I chose OWB with cover garment. However, I actually carry OWB at the 4 o'clock position in a L.A.G. tactical holster (Sig P938) and cover with whatever shirt I'm wearing. I don't put on an extra shirt or vest. I also don't wear unusually long shirts or anything special and very rarely tuck my shirt in. I have no trouble concealing and staying concealed. As someone else mentioned, I run my belt (through the loops) over the holster and it sits between my belt and my pants.
Sometimes I right front pocket carry the same gun in a Desantis super fly, but usually that's just around the house or a quick trip to the corner store.

I just picked up a Springfield XDe and an Alien holster. IWB untucked. In the summer here in Gods waiting room the summer wear is usually a hawiian shirt. In the chilly weather a long sleeve shirt or light jacket will cover anything comfortably. I'd been carrying a sig 229 in an Alien holster, comfortably but the weight difference in noticeable for a 'well upholstered body like mine.

Most of the time I wear Wrangler cargo pants and a Cabella's shirt over it. I don't have any problem concealing a Glock 19 in a Galco Combat Master holster. If I'm walking the dogs I carry in jacket pocket

For a long time I've wished that I could open carry, but even if Illinois law allowed for it I can't see myself going into clients' offices with a gun on my hip. The majority of them would ask that I never step foot on their premises again. I currently pocket carry and I think I still would Monday through Friday even if the laws were changed in Illinois. The laws might change but the attitudes of many of the people haven't.
