Okay, I've been looking at Saigas on the net for about a week now, and I'm coming to the point of determining what barrel length I want. I've determined that the 7.62x 39mm Soviet will be best for my needs. But I'm torn between the 20" w/ skeleton stock and the 16" with the regular sporter stock.
Overall, I like the looks of the 20" better. More "tacticool" in that kinda throwback Rainbow Six way. But they are harder to find, more money, and we already have a SA M1A that will kick the Saiga's vodka bottle all day at the range as far as accuracy goes. So there is really no reason to have one. That means that the 16" will probably be the one I will choose. But at the same time, I want an accurate rifle. Not considering ammo choice or shooter error, how accurate will a Saiga 7.62 x39 with a 16" barrel be with iron sights at 50 yards and 100 yards? How will a conversion/ stock change effect the accuracy or the firearm?
Thanks in advance.
