What kind of pistol do you shoot for USPSA matches?

Beretta 92G Elite. Major action job, solid stainless guide rod, Wolff trigger spring unit, EII extended mag release, internal trigger over travel stop of my own design, LPA adjustable sights.
Comp-Tac straight drop holster, Comp-Tac Belt-Feed mag holders carrying Mec-Gar 17 rnd (loaded w/10 rnds) mounted on a CR Speed belt.

I have been shooting a mild custom P14 in limited, a Commander in L10 and a G22 in production. I have a full custom STI that should be in any day for Limited and L10. The G22 will be getting a 9mm conversion barrel for Production at some point.

The P14 was done by Cogan Custom, a reliability tune and hard chrome.
The Commander is one I am doing myself, basic reliability tune, some accuracy enhancements and that is all.
The G22 is stock with the exception of a mild trigger parts polish, good steel sights, butt plug and some grip tape.

45 Redhawk 5.5"
Caspian 1911 45 ACP single-stack

Sold my Glock M20 and Witness 38 Super top end. Sold a M17 and Caspian racegun without ever competing with them.

Only match I won overall, Caspian 1911 shooting Minor.

production Glock 22 with vanic trigger and fiber optic front sight
Kydex houlster Safariland poutches

lim 10 Glock 24 with vanic trigger, briley barrel, stippled grip, extended
release,cr speed houlster and safariland poutches

limited STI or SV by red line custom in MN
Ghost houlster safariland poutches

I'm just gitting into limited it's plenty of fun!!!

Maybe you guys need to look at IDPA rather than IPSC. Not starting any wars here as I shoot both. IDPA is geared more toward production guns rather than race guns.
Another thought is just have two divisions in your home style match. 10 round max and hicap. There are plenty of 10 round mags for 1911's.

Here's a pair of limited guns I use for USPSA Limited Division.

Dawson Practical Advantage .40

The guns have had their slide stroke lengthened to facilitate the use of an aluminum shock buff. The aluminum buff kinda has the effect of a deadblow hammer, and it lasts forever.

USPSA started a Provisional Single Stack Division effective 1-1-06. It will be in existance for the next three years and then evaluated. If there is interest It will be considered for full status.

Rules can be read at www.uspsa.org

Welcome to The High Road Gary!!! See you at Area 5 in August!

I forgot about this post. My STI came in back in December and I have a couple matches on it now. Shoots great, scores are good with it, and really enjoy shooting it.

If my digital camera ever comes back from repair I might post a pic or two:cuss:
