I've carried a Taurus M85SSUL for the last 15 years when I'm in a revolver mood. It's very accurate, fantastic trigger, points well, and always goes bang. :D At the time I got it, it was one of the few alloy frame guns (17 ounces) that was +P rated. Now days, they all are.

I sometimes carry this S&W 500ES. Put it on my permit mainly for when I go hiking in the mountains. Surprisingly easy to conceal. I've yet to have anyone notice when I'm carrying it. Even when I tell people they can't figure out where it is.

I only own one, and it is not a concealed carry gun. However when I go afield I find myself grabbing my Freedom Arms M83 .454 and a Galco Kodiak holster that it rides around in with me. The Kodiak is made for up to a 7.5" barrel, so the 6" on my M83 is has a bit of extra room. The rig rides well, is easy to wear in the truck, and goes on and off in a snap, plus it easily adjusts to fit over or under winter coats depending on how I want to wear it. A little pricey, but worth it for the convenience of being a first rate field holster.

I'm blessed to have many options. My everyday carry is a S&W 649 (stainless J-Frame with shrouded hammer), but I'm one of those rebels who carries a single action 45 colt, and that beauty is a Ruger Vaquero Sheriff's model with Birds Head grips. I also have carried a Charter Arms Bulldog in .44 spl. and am currently searching for a model 10 S&W.;)

If I do carry I have three choices. My S&W 10 4 inch, Ruger Police Six 4 inch and my S&W model 36. I have holsters for all of them.

my daily carry is a Colt Diamondback Snub.

carried in a custom holster made by Cotton's Custom Leather http://www.tex45.com/

What makes a daimondback different from a det. spl.?
All I can see is the adjustable sights.
Is it .38spl?

Tell me about those speed loaders, they certainly look good.

Love that diamondback ever since Mcqueen carried it in Bullett! I still carry my 1993 detective special when my paranoia causes me to mistrust my semi's!

When I carry a revolver which is rare.

I carry my 686P.

Or the wifes 60 Pro.

Truth be known. I prefer the wifes 60 Pro between the two revolvers. I can man handle it with ease with full house .357's in it.

But the sad and horid truth is: A PF-9 gets carried 24/7. If I feel the need to go up gun. A M&P .45 is ready for action and there is always a wonderful G20 with loads way over book ready to make holes.

We wont own a revolver with less than a 3" barrel. Many will but we wont. True subs have no place in our plan of defiance or active shooting (aggression). And 3" plus barreled revolvers will always be a part of our armory in .357 or larger.

A revolver can and will give the shooter excellent shot placement if they know what there doing. The only limiting factor concerning high hand is the hammer. No slide bite.

I carry autos in town. Back home in the sticks, I switch to a revolver. A S&W 637 2-1/2"bbl is in my pocket right now (in a Desantis Nemesis), and I like it way better than a hammerless snub, it fits jeans or Carhartt pockets just fine and is a homeplace staple. When I switch to hip carry for outdoors, I've really become habitual on my S&W M64 3"bbl in a Desantis leather pancake holster. It's comfort and ergonomics on one hand, and on the other, of my my numerous choices, I've come to like and trust both of the individual guns a lot.

I recieved a Rhino from my wife for Christmas. It is one nice CCW gun. The recoil from full house .357 loads are like target 38 Specials. I carried an SP101 before I got the Rhino if I was carrying a revolver.
