What shell plate holder for 50 Beowulf???

I googled and also used the search function and cannot find a shell plate holder for my 50 beowulf. I am assuming that since the 50 Beowulf is rimmed for a 7x39 that a shell plate holder for a 7x39 is what I need for my 50 Beowulf???? Can anyone confirm this?

Yes. If you're using Lee, it's the #12 shell holder- which is what I use for reloading my .50 Beo and it is for the 7.62x39.

I am using the Redding Big Boss II press so I am assuming that the Lee would work just fine on my Redding?

A few brands use "universal" style shell holders and can be interchanged. I personally can not confirm a Lee would fit a Redding. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Shell holders are universal these days when it comes to mounting in the press. So, a Lee shell holder will work on your Redding press.

As a note, a single stage press or turret press uses a shell holder. A progressive press uses a shell plate.

Shell holders hold one case at a time. Shell plates hold 4, 5 or more depending on the press.

Shell holders are universal and fit all current manufactured presses. Shell plates are press specific.

Thanks a ton for clearing up shell plate vs shell holder!!! I am new to reloading so these terms are somewhat forgein to me but I am learning!
I figured all shell holders would fit in any press.... Thanks for confirming that for me!
