Just curious about what shotguns are currently being used the military today?

I have seen PGO Mossburgs used as breaching tools, not sure but I think I have seen the Rem 870 used for that also. I think I have seen full stocked guns in clips but not sure what they are. I know Remington makes the "MCS" Modular combat shotgun, but not sure if that has actually been adopted by any service?

we have mooberg's. 500's the majority of them are with pistol grips which i refuse to use, when i go to the range or carry one, i use "mine" as i call it with the standard buttstock.

we have no remington 870's.

btw i am infantry US Army, other Branches use other shotguns and variants.

The Navy's Sub fleet uses standard stocked 5+1 mossbergs exclusively, and that's all I've seen surface ships use too, but there may be some ship out there with something else in its armory.

I believe the Coast Guard and some of the Navy used or used to use the Winchester 1200 Marine pump action, stainless with synthetic stocks...

Looks like the thread on the mossberg thread covers it pretty well. Interesting to note it looks like of the guns look like something you find on the shelf of about any sporting good store or gun shop
