What supplies do you want?

Small pistol magnum primers, more of a desire since I use them in my Valquero Bisley .357 SA (the one in the picture) with HS-6. Makes for nice soft loads. But I can always use a different powder with small pistol primers if need be. I probably should have bought more large pistol primers the last time I bought, but I don't go through them as quickly as the small pistol primers.

I'm pretty well set. I stocked up on primers, powder, and projectiles early this year...just had a feeling that hard times were coming. I've also toned down the amount of ammunition I go through on a given range trip so that supplies on hand will last a bit longer.

I haven't done any casting since my black powder days in the 80's. I'm gearing up for that and plan to try out this newfangled powder coating business. Seems much easier than the cake pan method from back in the day. I need molds, lead, and a place to setup that station.

.40
i've certainly toned down the amount of ammo i go through on the range, no longer 4 mags of 17 shot 9mm in 5minutes or so through the semi. just black hawk revolver and marlin. Still have fun mind you.

Wow at $15.00 for a box of fifty, 68 rounds in five minutes comes out to 7 cents a second. Hope they all were bullseyes. :p

I started reloading a year ago this month. I never really thought that reloading supplies would fly off the shelf like they have. Factory loaded stuff I figured would obviously disappear. I have enough to load everything I shoot for a while. This has been a fast learning experience for me personally. When things go back to normal which I'm sure they will eventually. I'm going to buy primers by the truck load.

I've been finding supplies mostly online and actually a surprising amount locally but not enough. I will definitely make sure to stock up on primers. This is my first "shortage" and I will be more proactive next time.

far from bull eyes usually , but all reloads, first factory 9mm i bought last week were a sticker shock. I keep a small box of factory near guns at home for self defense and after a year or so cycle through them.

I really hate to fuel the flames but....if you feel at all short on powder, I wouldn't sit on the sidelines. Just surfed my favorite vendor that ships via a local carrier that doesn't require a signature on delivery when my wife and I am at work, and they're out of most common types. Most others are still pretty flush, but I can't be home to sign a notepad, and I have "sufficient reserves" having acquired a significant quantity at some estate sales recently and having a large amount of a shotgun powder suitable for most practice handgun loads. Good news is, some bullets are coming back. Saw 9-124-xtps.

This place has SPP in stock. Limit 1000. I bought one, it came out to $86 shipped. That’s still cheaper than any on armslist, and they are unavailable in area gun shops.
Cci 500 and 550.

Thanks. Another 1K, now I feel better. Added some of those 124XTPs and Win Autocomp and Win244 to experiment with and spread out the shipping cost a bit.

Note, they also have Fed 210 LR in stock at this time

Primers. Small pistol and large. I got caught with my pants down this time. I'm down to my last 300 small pistol. I'm out of 9mm bullets which seem to be available but do I buy 500 or do I just use my last 300 primers in the small primer 10 cases because I have bullets on hand? In '08 I had 8k plus of lage pistol, small pistol and about 10k small rifle. I had a large surplus still in '18 but hurricane Michael tore the lid off my building and whelp..... I never recovered. I hope the BS ends soon but I know better

Gosh, .09 a piece...a sign of the times?

Hazmat fee is ridiculous.
*copied from their site* UPS charges a HazMat fee of $37.00. Spee-Dee Delivery charges a HazMat fee of $18.00. Spee-Dee Delivery is only available to the following states: North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska (limited area) and a limited area around St. Louis, Missouri. This is why this vendor works for me

This thread got me thinking....

After reading what others have posted I sort of came to the conclusion that between my job, other projects that don't involve shooting, and shooting, I'm in a pretty good state of equilibrium when it comes to supplies. A while back, I decided that a used turret press would be the most efficient way to feed my Glock 29. It eats 10mm Auto, .40 S&W, and .357 Sig. I've had my eyes open for one for the last couple of months. If I manage to pick up one of those, I'm sure I'll be in the market for a lot more small pistol primers, bullets - both .40 caliber and .357, and powder.

I'd also like shot - 71/2, buckshot, and slugs. Twelve gauge and .410 bore.

Speedee should deliver. The 37 will show up on your original invoice, then it will correct to 18 when the order is actually shipped. That's how it's worked on previous orders for me. You might contact them to be sure they deliver to the border.

That's my story almost exactly! My first reloads were pressed on Jan 3 of this year and I was working on stocking reloading supplies about the time the shortages appeared. At my current rate of consumption I can last about a year if I can't buy any more supplies and I'm hoping things will return to normal by then. I do still buy what I can, when I can. Just yesterday I was able to buy the store limit of 500 magnum small pistol primers at my LGS for $21.

This place has SPP in stock. Limit 1000. I bought one, it came out to $86 shipped.

I'd have to be really desperate to pay that price and I'm not there yet. I won't say never though.

Primers. I've never even seen one in person - I decided to get into reloading earlier this year, just as the shortages hit, so I was able to get everything BUT primers. Bad timing.

Honestly, I have a very solid supply of primers at the moment. About a month back, I set aside what I considered was "bare bones":

2000 small pistol (38 and 9mm)
1000 large pistol magnum (44 mag)
500 match small rifle (match 223)
500 large rifle magnum (460)

...and put those in an ammo can. That's my "do not touch" stash. All the rest I have (which is quite a bit) is fair game for now, and that's easily 2-3 years worth.

If push comes to shove, I'll just stop shooting so much. Heck, I have a super healthy supply of 22LR, I could always rip into that.

I've given up searching in the wild for now. I have the powder and projectiles I need for a solid 12 months (or more). I haven't see a case of primers in the wild in months. Most places I've spoken to, they're not even getting primers in stock. It's not like they'e getting them and people are buying them out...they're just not getting anything in.

I havent reloaded in years because I dont shoot a whole lot. But ive got enough for a few years at a good pace. And its all fresh thanks to a fire destroying my previous stash 5 years ago. Insurance paid for it all too! Though I think i shorted myself on primers and bullets. Hard to remember if you had 10k or 15k primers when you dont look at it every week. I didnt short by too much though.

I am looking at getting some molds and more lead.

I could use some more core lokts might be a while and have to wait and see what Vista outdoors does with the line.

CCI #41's or 400's, BL-C(2), 55 gr. FMJ or V-Max, and more LC brass to stuff 'em in. Then more bandolieers and and repack boxes-I have plenty of strippers, spoons, and still a few unoccupied .50 cal cans. 230 gr. FMJ and Bullseye is always welcome here, too.

SPs then other primers,
not out but I can use up a lot of SPs quick if I shoot 500 rounds for practice at the range.

I've pretty much have had to stop shooting the 9mm semi at the range for that very reason. Just the blackhawk single action revolvers and the marlin lever gun.
I've cut way back on reloading .38spl to favor the .357
