may go as high as $1200 including everything taxes shipping whatever.

I am a CZ fan, 1911 fan, but open minded.

help me out with some ideas.

I have a nice small collection but there are spaces to fill.

My basic needs are met but I love guns so when i have the cash I buy one.

What would you buy right now with 1200 on the table in front of you?

Get this in the caliber of your choice!

The gun is becoming my favorite pistol by far. I paid $489 plus tax and since my local dealer didn't stock them he charged me $30 shipping but with shipping and tax it came to $556 OTD. Superb SA trigger. As good as my 1911.
Fully adjustable rear sight. Just a great pistol overall. 5" match grade polygonal barrel. Superb fit and finish.

STI Trojan, in .40, with Dawson, optic sights, ambi safety, drilled and tapped mag release with Dawson, lo pro button

I'm thinking about getting an EAA Elite Limited in 10mm for $960 NIB. I just have to have my local gun store order it. It comes in 9mm, .40S&W, 10mm, and .45ACP. You should get one and let me know how it is, before I get one lol.

great suggestions keep em coming.

I did not realize I could get an STI for the price.

That witness sure looks nice. Do you think it would be better than a CZ-sp01?

I like the cz compact Idea. I don't have one. have been heavily considering a p-01 or an sp-01.

I have a Witness Elite Match in .40. A lot of gun for the money. I had an CZ P-01 and traded it. The Witness is much better IMHO. But they are two different types of pistols. Not a fair comparison really.

For carry, the P 01 would be much easier to conceal. For the range, the Elite Match is better by far.

Hi-Powers are nice but atleast for me they need some work out of the box.
You will need a trigger job and if you are like me the stock hammer will bite your hand.

I have never shot the STI Trojan that lists for a little over $1k but if its like STI's higher end models Im sure Its nice.
Ive always like the Kimber Eclipse as well. For some reason I havent ever got around to buying one yet.
Browse the auctions maybe you could run into a used Wilson or Ed Brown for close to your price range.

A Springfield GI, spare magazines, spare parts and all the ammo (or handloading components) the rest would buy.

great ideas

lee

my existing s&w 1911 trumps a springer gi. The trp however was another interesting suggestion.

I am a huge Leatham fan.

keep the suggestions coming. I am suprised not to hear from the plastic crowd.

I would consider plastic too. sort of partial to glocks w trigger jobs and walther p99 made in germany also.

looking at sti could lead to wood.

Thanks for the help!

hk

conceptualy hk has everything

in execution I find them too big and in genreal not worth the cost.

now if I could get an mp5a3 that is another story

even given hk 91 vs fal i would go fal.

if I had way too many guns and still had money I might go for a p7m8

so many choices with that kind of money, what are you looking to use it for? range gun? plinker? competition? carry?

id check out the cz custom shop sp-01, sig p220 series, sig 226 sct, sig 229 sct, or one of the eaa elite series pistols.

If you have $1200 to spend then theres only one best choice, H&K P7M8!!!:what::eek::uhoh::cuss::banghead:
