What to do about removing primer pocket crimp, 223 or any

I use the CH4D primer pocket swager for good results. Google the thing, there are videos of how they work. I prefer to swage the metal back in place instead of removing the metal on the side of the primer pocket. I feel that the brass lasts longer before the primer pocket shoots loose. Might all be in my mind though but I feel it is a better choice.YMMV

I use my chamfer tool and I chuck it into my drill press. I do run my cases through the Little Crow trimmer first. To eliminate the crimp I simply push the shell case up to the chamfer tool and cut the crimp right out. It takes 5 seconds. I flip the case around and I chamfer the inside of the case mouth. The last thing I do is clean up the outside of the case mouth with the chamfer tool but only on the cases I had to trim to length.

I do too. Not only do I feel it does a more consistent job, but they easily pay for themselves in terms of your time.

I've never seen a post where someone regretted getting one of these.
I have installed a spring to mine (seen on Youtube - Dillon Super Swage 600 AUTO EJECT Mod) that automates the process. Timed one batch and was able to swage 300 pieces in approx 30 minutes.

I started out with the RCBS kit mounted on my press but now I use the Dillon Super Swage 600. It was a little pricey but works great and is faster.
