For Concealed carry, I most often carry my Taurus 605 revolver in .357. On occasion I have carried other of my handguns, but it's pretty rare. I bought the 605 specifically to be my CCW gun, and thus it is what I carry 99.5% of the time. To supplement this gun, my next gun purchase will be a Kel-Tec in .380. There are times when a smaller pocket gun just fills the bill for me better than any other choice.
In the woods, it depends. Most often I carry my Ruger MkII, but when I am deep in the woods, I switch to my Ruger P90 in .45. As of two weekends ago, I will now be carrying my new S&W 66-1 in .357. The only other gun I carry into the woods with any regularity other than the above mentioned is, again, my 605.
I love my MkII's, and have no plans to get rid of either one of them, but I happen to have a H&R Sportsman 999 that I flat out love, at least when it is working. I need to get it to a gunsmith to get it fixed once and for all, but once it's good, it may replace my MkII's as my "carry" .22. I have also contemplated picking up a single-six to take into the woods. I enjoy shooting autos, but the revolver is, IMHO, the more rugged choice. If nothing else, there aren't as many places for crap to go if I happen to fall into the river!
