tekarra, my cheapest was also an Astra 600. What a terrific gun that was. Bought it by mail order in the mid-1960s for @ $25, all you had to do back then was check a box on the order form certifying that you were 18 (or 21, can't remember which). Sold mine also and regretted it ever since.

My first gun was a Cobra Patriot .45ACP. I took it shooting the day I bought it. I had a jam every round. Well, more of a lock-up. It would feed but the trigger would not reset after a shot was fired. Everyshot. I'd have to pull the slide back about an 8th of an inch to reset the trigger. I went right back to the store I purchased it from, and got rid of it.

I bought an old chromed Iver Johnson 'Young American' .22 at a flea market for 12 dollars. Carried it my tackle box for a long time as snake medicine.

It would have to be a RG-Model 10 in 22 short, bought it new in 1975 for $25.00, still have it.

I also bought a .25ACP Raven. It was fun but after I shot the two boxes of ammo I bought with it I couldn't afford more and traded it to square some debts. I think the whole deal cost my $60.00 (I made money on the trade though).

picked up what I thought was a .22 mag 8 shot

revolver in stainless. Looked old absolutely no markings of any type on it paid 60 bucks and thought I had a good deal.

Tried to shoot the darn thing and it wouldn't fire. Took a close look at the cartridge and the firing pin was striking the center rather than the rim, hmmmm, did a little research on the intarwebs.

Looks like I've got a 5.75 Velo Dog unknown manufacturer.. 8 shot with a safety no less on the grip frame. break top. Now if only i could afford the almost 50 bucks a box for the almost non existent ammunition. Just my luck, still looking for a inexpensive .22 revolver.........:(

The least expensive handgun I have ever bought:

A used S&W model 64-4 NY-1 for $100. It's a K-frame .38 in satin stainless with a 2" bbl. The NY-1 guns were made for NYPD in the late 80s-early 90s. It was carried a lot, shot just a little. Cleaned up nicely and shoots like a dream.

Used Kel Tec P3AT, paid $180 for it at a pawn shop for my wife. Kel Tec fixed it up on their dime too since the gun was not functioning properly. Great deal on such a sweet little gun!

I paid $150 for a .44 magnum Ruger Redhawk 8" in perfect condition with an extra set of houge grips and a case.

Sold it a little while later.

You know what? I was going to compliment you on what a nice deal that was, but you selling it made me hate you a little bit. Please tell me you sold it for more than you bought it for...Or else I'm going to hate the person that bought it even more. :(
