I've been wanting to get into handgun hunting, so probably a TC Encore pistol in 7mm-08, and a scope. I'm pretty sure that would come in at under 1k. Either that or a Ruger Super Redhawk in .480 Ruger.

very tempting, they are beautiful. I was in Anniston this summer and they looked amazing.
