I am glad you mentioned the MP 45. Which is kinda why I asked the question. I was shooting my MP 45 and maybe it's just me but I can not get decent groups with it. Shooting the Sig is no effort at all and will out shoot (at least for me) the MP.
The ones I got experience with I would rank them in this order CZ-97, Ruger P90, Sig P220, Glock 21.
Don't know where I would rank the HK 45s, Beretta PX4 45, or the S&W M&P 45 since I have no experience with them. But I would not be surprised the HK 45 would be up there if they shoot like their other handguns.
I carry a Sig P-220 every day for duty and have another of my own. I think you would be very happy with this sidearm. For qualifications we shoot a maximum of 75 feet and it is still very accurate even at these (and greater) distances as well. Also, the .22 L/R conversion for it is just plain fun and economical.
Finally, an EASY question. OF COURSE the Sig Sauer P220. (Preferably W. German). The only problem with it is after shooting a 7 round magazine at a target, I have to waste time looking close at the target because 7 shots usually only appears to be 4 holes unless you check really close. I think the PC and MAC mouse got it's "Point and Click" name from the Sig P220. It truly is point and click. You will hit what you're aiming at.
Forgive my intrusion into the auto forum but . . . the S&W 625 .45ACP revolver. You don't have to fire 500 rounds ($300 more) of ammo through it either to get it reliable either.
I love the autoloaders too, but the .45ACP Smith wheelguns are really special.
Oh yea! My 625 JM is one sweet shooter! OCD1, I have the M&P45c and it's a good shooter. I have not had any trouble with accuracy out to 25yrds and that's the short barrel version. The G30 is another that will knock your socks off with accuracy and both the M&P45c & G30 will take hi-cap mags from their big brothers.
