Garage time

I got an hour or two of "garage time" while the mrs watched the baby while I was applying coats of Aluma-hyde "coyote" to my Mosin scout project, including coats to the scope base, rings, bolt, trigger, and scope. Full camo paint to follow.

Son scored a Heritage Rough Rider .22 6.5"

My wife got me a pair of Baffin boots that I needed, and a Lyman 1200DPS3 auto powder measure. I got her a new set of pots and pans that she's been wanting (but won't buy herself), and a gift card to the local spa/salon that she likes. (something practical, something extravagant for each of us)

Oh yea, also got the last AR in captivity around here. It's a Mossberg and is now fitted with a Jard trigger (2lbs) and a Nikon Monarch 5x20x44 scope. Perty darn good shooter.

I received a phone call from my FFL the other day saying that there was a package down there for me with 2 stripped AR lowers that had arrived back in August. I thought they had been backordered or otherwise unavailable. He offered to purchase one from me. I declined. Merry Christmas to me!

Last month, I picked up my own Christmas present - a C&R Chinese SKS - my first 7.62x39 commie projectile launcher. After removing 2.5# of cosmoline, she's a butte!!!!

On a non-firearms related note: a Pentax fisheye lens and an RC heli 4 channel that can fly outdoors.

Well, as far as earthly goods go, I bought myself that Ruger 1-H which I do consider to be a Christmas present (wanted one for years now), along with a bunch of casings and projectiles to use with it. Bullet moulds for .357 and .405 as well, and an RCBS Pro-Melt is in the mail. Additionally, about 300 lbs. of lead ingots (WW and Pb) and some linotype in the mix too, and about seven lbs. of what is supposed to be 96/4 tin/silver muffin ingots but I suspect they're 95.5/4/.5 with the last being copper.

However,

A lifetime's worth of forgiveness and an eternity of grace.

Nothing can even begin to compare to this. NOTHING.

Late to the party but I got a Surefire Forend light for my Mossberg 500 Spx from my wife (she says "I got it for you because you said you wanted one... but I have no idea what it is" ha! gotta love it)

Got myself an ATI mossberg talon tactical shotgun stock with the scorpion pistol grip, my goodness... that little baby is sweet as cherry pie now.
