What's a good price for a S&W 1006?

I've decided my absolute next pistol is going to be a S&W 1006. I'm looking for a LNIB or excellent one, as I intend to put pull power loads through it. Also, any pics of your 1006s or 1076s are certainly welcome :D

I've seen nice specimens go for $550-600 range. With this high pressure round, I wouldn't look at anything well worn. Of course this gun is built like a tank, but you never know - many times if it looks beat up, it is. A local shop has (or may have sold it by now - I lost interest b/c of the price) a 1076 for $750 and it doesn't look that great.

Depends on how bad you want one and how long you want to wait. Personally I wouldn't spend more than $500ish It was the most produced s&w 10mm auto.

Mach, those are some nice pieces, I'm jealous.

There's always been something about the S&W autos that I like in the looks department, and the 3913 I had was a flawless performer.

Stupid question maybe, how long would it take to wear one out on full power (original load) ammo? I don't shoot 1k rounds a week, but I do intend to give it a lot of range time through the course of my lifetime.

My 1006 cost $500 and $550 for the 1066 , the 1066 was new unfired in box with all accesories still in original wrapping , took me 2 years of hunting small gunshops and pawnshops to find them.
