What's different going into 2020 vs 2019?

No changes. Just keep stacking in the appropriate piles.

Yeah, time to get a new safe. Got a bunch of favorite "grab and go" rifles stacking in a corner by the front door.

1/20/20 is the VCDL gathering for Virginia Gun Rights. Join us there, to show your support for Virginia's 2A Rights, if you can. 8:00 AM. The Pocahontas Building, 900 East Main Street, Richmond, VA. The Democrats are using a narrow majority, purchased by Bloomberg, in the last election. in the state legislature, to turn Virginia into " the New Jersey of the South", and strip Virginians of their gun rights. They are even gearing up to go door to door, to confiscate firearms. Organizers are requesting that you do not bring long guns, or open carry, and follow all applicable laws, regarding concealed carry.

VOTING, this year. Our votes are going to be the difference , between the best of times, and the worst of times.

Well early 2019 I added a winchester 94, heading into 2020 I added a 10" freedom arms model 83.
Nothing else changed. Come 2021 one more will come in, I doubt anything's leaving. 2022 will be the same story . business as usual for me.

I am going to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

I hope I am not violating THR policies when I say I am going to try to finish replacing my remaining Clinton era ammo with a fresh Biden/Sanders/Warren stash.

I also have plans to add a few more guns. However I get sidetracked rather easily so there isn’t any confidence that I will follow through with my plans. Such is the curse of a gun addiction

My only 2019 gun purchase was a target model 1858 Remington New Army c&b, and a LCP for mrs F.(does that count?)
I did add several accessories like spare hi-cap mags, weapon lights, slings, grips....

* In 2020, I would like to find a really nice model 66 S&W snub sometime that I have enough $$ to buy it.
* Maybe buy a better scope and shuffle some others.
* maybe a BP smoothbore build

I do have an even up trade pending for a lightly used Springfield Armory XDS

Every time i think i might have some 'gun money' something pops up.....blows up....comes apart....needs replaced...etc. (currently it's the dishwasher)
(The appliance, not mrs farmer)

I don't know what's going on, but the universe appears to be attempting to seduce me into the world of revolvers.

In 2019, I picked up a 6" stainless Security 6 at a fair price, and a 6" Monson Dan Wesson 715 .22lr for $250 OTD. I didn't even know that was a thing. And now, I'm seeing Bodyguard .38's (weird gun, right?) and Ruger LCR's fairly cheap. I don't like the cylinder release on the Bodyguard, so that's currently my out on those.

But LCR's? Hmm... I'm kind of tempted, but this year I need to save money.

Except my Kahr MK9 is a bit of a hefty boy, so maybe actually a pocket .380 is in order. Except, I probably need to save money.

The local pawn shop also has weird random pistols priced aggressively, so I might bite on something interesting and random if it's cheap enough. In 2019 I picked up a poorly rattlecanned M&P 9mm for $200 and change, passed on a Steyr M40 at the same price (awful pointy grip), and a relative picked up a like-new Ruger P95 there also for about $200.

And I still don't have an AR15 or even any lowers. Except I think AK's might be cooler, in which case I still don't have an underfolder.

It's going to be a tough year for gun purchases. Probably.
A DW 715 .22 for $250 OTD?? I woulda been all over that every day of the week and twice on Sunday! Excellent find for sure

Stay safe.

Prob a P99c in 40 and a Beretta APX RDO. Other than that, I plan on getting into reloading and stocking up on ammo.

For me, optics. I'm getting to the point shooting with irons is more and more difficult. I can't mount them on all of them but on a select few and those will be seeing more range time.

If I could mount a red dot on my '60 Army without being excommunicated from the family I'd probably try that too (no, I wouldn't do that!).

Voting. I'm going to get serious about voting and try to pay closer attention to politics at both the local and national level even though it causes me considerable stress....

Also might be getting a considerably higher paying electrical job so if that pans out a MK12 build and/or benelli semi auto 12ga might be in the works. Idk. Other than that I will be working on ammo stores

Going western a bit - just for fun. Picked up a 1953 Model 94. Looking to buy a 45 LC SAA.

Sadly, all my semiautomatic rifles fell off my boat into the bottomless lake - oh well.....

I am buying a Ruger precision and eliminating some platforms I no longer use or need since moving to Florida. To be honest I only need 3 rifles and a shotgun as far as long guns go. Handguns on the other hand I would have quite the difficult time pairing down as I like .22 lr's:what::neener::eek:o_O and 9s.
