I'm 50, started at age 7 with Daisy lever BB gun, then on to a Crosman 760 air pump BB/pellet at 12 years, a Crosman .22 CO2 pellet SA sixgun in my teens along with a Daisy 1894 "spittin' image" lever BB carbine got me hooked on old west style guns, but didn't get into real firearms until I arrived in Florida from NY state in the 1970's. Was an early Fl CCW licensee in the late '80's, still am. Joined the NRA then found out about cowboy action shooting and by 1990 had joined S.A.S.S. with a badge # in the 1200's. Now I've read there are well over 40K members. Retired from security work, go to the local ranges when I can. I grew up in the suburbs of NY. Now I live in Florida, it's a good area for gun rights, never heard of a gun show til I came to FLA. Have now been to quite a few. God bless our troops.

38 and been shooting since age 8 . First gun was a single shot 20 gauge (sure miss that one) . Grew up in a hunting family and in my house all the rifles and shotguns were kept right beside the TV . whole family would go to my grandparents house to do the reloading and all us kids were involved in the collecting of brass as well as being taught safety and shooting technique .Hope to pass that on to my daughter. BTW , wasn't aloud to have a BB gun cause that was "dangerous" lol.

shootin age

I'm 33 now, I used to deer hunt, but as I got older and started a family, I sort of got away from it. I've been teaching my nine year old how fire arm safty, and how to shoot a ruger .22. I even put a scope on it after he learned how to use the sites...:) He made me promise to take him small game hunting this year. Which basicly is taking him out on our land and letting him have some fun. I have a Glock 19, and a Glock 30 a couple of shotguns, and such. I've carried for over two years, and I put around 200 rounds through each gun per week...As far as training nothing other than NRA and basic fire arm safty, oh yea gun safty in junior high..lol

I'm 41 and have been shooting since I was around 10. First BB guns, then 22 rifles, then I got into handguns and shotguns for MANY years. Ony got into rifles about 3 or 4 years ago but now I have more of those than anything else...and shoot them more.

taught to shoot at age 5--

and I will be 62 in four months.

Began with a .22 pump--small Remington, cut down.

I didn't get a BB gun until my stepfather bought one for me, when I was twelve.

Unless, of course, one wants to count as "shooting" being in a knapsack carried on my mother's back when she went duck hunting--age, about ten months.

33/28.

Life member GOA, NRA, CCRKBA. Also hunter ed instructor, range safety officer, and as the sig line says, rifle, pistol, and shotgun instructor as well.

Occasional IDPA participant.

Age 41. Got my first Daisy BB gun when I was about 7 and pellet gun a year or so later. Been shooting shotguns, rifles and handguns since I was 10. Shotguns and handguns mostly. Never been much of a rifle shooter.

I'm 41. Got my BB gun when I was around 9 or 10 (Still have it!). Shot my dads .22 rifle and 12ga shotgun whenever I wanted while living at home. Got married and owned no weapons for 18 years. A rather nasty motorcycle accident last year made me look for another interest. So I bought a pistol to start shooting USPSA matches. Now own several pistols and rifles and really enjoy them. I also get to take 3 of my 4 kids to the range on occasion and teach them.

58. I got started when I was 23 and stationed in California. I fell in with a group of guys that used to varmint hunt ground squirrels in CA and jack rabbits in Nevada. These days I plink and target shoot at the range. I want to get back into re-loading. Haven't done any the past twenty years.

Over the years I have pretty much narrowed my focus down to commercial, milsurps, bolt & semi-auto rifles, revolvers, pistols, stockpiling ammo, single-shots, CZ, SIG, Browning, Colt, S&W's, Mauser, Walther, Astra, Iver Johnson, Stevens, Springfield, Uberti, Ithaca, FN, Ruger, Kel-Tec, Bushmaster, Romanian, German, Russian, Swiss, British, Bulgarian, Brazilian, Argentine, Yugoslavian, Spanish, shotguns, centerfire and rimfire. Oh! And muzzle loaders.

Pushin' 50. Didn't really get "into" shooting until I started hunting with my father-in-law around age 26. Then got serious; started building a modest collection, took several training courses, became a certified hunter safety instructor and a Life Member of the NRA. So, seriously shooting for something just over 20 years.

I'm 40 and started shooting around 4, or 5 years old. I started off with a Red Rider bb gun, then a couple of pellet guns, then a single shot .22 rifle. My buddy shot his dad's Browning semi-auto rifle. I sometimes disliked him. Usually when he reloaded his rifle once to my 16 times. When I was really little, my dad and I went and bought a brand new Remington 742 Woodmaster .30-'06. He thought he would shoot it and scare the crap out of me. He told me that I told him to shoot it again dad.:)

41 - started with a .22LR, .38 Spl and 9mmP at 6, 12ga around 9 and reloading ammo at 10. Bought my first handgun at 16 (CZ75) and it's just gone downhill since then ;)

19 years old, 20 next month. Shooting since age 4. I shoot semi-auto pistols, semi-auto rifles, bolt action rifles, semi-auto shotguns, pump action shotguns, and lever action rifles. My father is a retired Marine and he tought me how to shoot and respect firearms.

I'm 27 and began shooting in England back when I was 5 years old. Mainly that was with my dad's rifles, in .22 and .308 though he no longer has them. Then I did alot of air rifles, air pistols and .22 shooting over the years and when I came to the US in 99 I upgraded my selection substantially to now include way more than I really need. I done one or two competitions and came in okay but nothing special and mainly collect military surplus firearms nowadays.

Age 24........been exposed to firearms and hunting for as long as I can remember. My brother and I got Daisy BB guns at around 5 and then shared a bolt action .22 Daisy at around age 7. As I got older my family got me a .270, .308, and 20 gauge shotgun. When I was 18 I bought my first handgun, a SIG 226 private party. That was my first CCW, been doing that for nearly 4 years now, currently with two other 9mm SIGs. Most of my interest now deals with security and CCW, though I'm reentering the bird-hunting world this year.
