What's

Just turned 67 and started shooting rats in the corn crib on the farm when I was about 10.

Currently 21.

My dad gave me my first pistol, a Ruger single-six, when I was about 6...as far as I can remember. Still have it sitting in a drawer waiting for my kids to come along.

A little later, he got me a bolt-action .22LR, the make of which I cant recall off the top of my head, but I still ahve that two...leaning up in a closet somewhere. When it got too short for me, it was replaced with a bolt-action marlin, which I shoot to this day.

From the pistol I moved up to a colt 1911 series 70...a gun that set the standard for everything else that has even sat in my hand. Now that Im old enough to buy my own, I did my best to replicate that feeling and ended up with a springfield armory milspec, which is a decent replacement, though smaller.

About 15 years now, I figure...though I wouldnt say its been a consistent thing.

19, been shooting since i can remember. My dad started me off on bb guns in the back yard, and gave me a marlin 22 for christmas when i was about 12.

I'm 77 & have been shooting since I was 12. 4 years in USAF(Korea, mostly
in Alaska). Had my first gun given to me by a nice lady whose home we were staying at in Claremore OK. It was a nickel plated .32 rimfire saturday night special called a "Red Cloud" and I still have it.

18.

Shooting experience is regrettably minimal. A couple hundred rounds of 22lr plus a dozen of so each of 9mm, 12-gauge, and .223.

1st bb gun at 5
benjamin pellet rifle w/scope at 6
.410 shot gun at 7
.22's , 30-30, & 12ga at 8 (hunting)
.270 at 13

dang thats 41 years now I'm depressed
oh well its 41 years of shooting now I feel better

70. Grandfather gave me a Remington 512 when I was 12. Saved my nickels, dimes and quarters and bought a new S&W K-22 five screw (no big deal then as that was what they were) for 60 bucks when I was 14. Add at least 2 arms per year so when I look at the collection I think holy s**t, I'm getting old. Still have both.

48, been shooting for 43 years. Got a .22 bolt action when I was 10 for Christmas (still have it!), bought my first rifle (Rem. Mdl 788 .243, still have it!) with my own money when I was 11 and have been reloading since I was 15.
Oh, I guess I'll stick with it...:)

well im 33 years old and have been shooting something or another for bout 18 years!whether it be a sidearm or paintball marker, played that semi pro for awhile

I'm 56, and like several I started shooting about age 9 or ten. My shooting has always been plinking/target...mostly in preparation for hunting. Never competed in any organized shooting sport. I reload for several rifles and handguns. That about covers it.
Mark.

I am 30 and I got my first firearm, a Ruger 10/22, at the age of 16. I guess I was a bit late to the game.

I'm 51. I started shooting when I was about 18, but then didn't for over 30 years. Now I not only shoot the hubster's guns but have three handguns of my own (so far) and a rifle and shotgun. And counting..... :neener: My children tell their daddy that he's converted me to the Dark Side.....!

One good thing about the shooting sports. You can keep up with it until the day you buy the farm. Run, play golf, basketball, football or whatever, you will wear out and not be able to participate except from the sidelines. Shooting is something you can do until the day you croak. Two older guys I used to shoot with simply went home and took the big journey a day or two after we BS'ed after a great day on the range. In their late 80' and early 90's.

49 years old and been shooting since I was 13. Plinker and hunter for years. Joined a shooitng club in the late 80s and started shooting competitively at the local level.

Local rimfire silo matches
IPSC
IDPA
CMP Highpower
CMP Sporter

Have done some bigger out of state matches and even the IDPA National three times. But, I a prefer the local matches these days.

26 years old

First went shooting with my dad at age 7, later got into occaisonal deer and pheasant hunting, trap, rifle and pistol practice. Now in military, and my weapon is an M249 SAW

49/8
My friends drunken father gave me an H&R .410 because it had a loose stock and when my grandfather found me responsible with it he gave me a Rem .22 single shot.
