What's In Your 10mm Collection?

A factory Hk MK23 in 10mm would be ungodly expensive, probably +$3500 or so but would be cool. I just can’t justify that amount of money for a polymer pistol. If a VP10 was available I’d buy one immediately. They would probably land somewhere around $1000-$1200 msrp.

The HK 23 sells around $2000 , the all alloy and steel gun , with no major plastic components would only need a different barrel , extractor and MAYbe a different recoil spring and perhaps a 10mm magazine to shoot 10mm, it already is the only factory gun I know of to be factory certified for .45Super . I'll have to look into Bartso and others to make me a 10mm Barrel for my HK23, probably thats all it would need to work. Certainly would not sell for more than a few hundred over $2k !

I would also like to overpay for a USP10 while we are at it!!

And if it actually survives 500-rds of real 10mm factory ammo (e.g., UW, BB, DT, etc.), please report that fact back here. Then you might actually have something called “not-junk” from the Taurii folks which other 10mm fans and users will want to know about.

Having more/new pistol options chambered in Best Meter is never a bad thing, but only if they can digest a regular diet of the cartridge in its undiluted form without chokes, hiccups, or parts flyin’ off hither. o_O

That gun is vaporware, i.e does not actually exist in nothing more but concept pictures and a few prototypes. Taurus was planning to come out with a TH series in 10mm, but for whatever unknown to me reason, it evaporated. Evidentally it got pretty far into the design process because a few websites even had promotional listings for them, but it never happened.

Now what I say next is just my own opinion but the recent announcement of the Th45acp is probably the culmination of their 10mm project.

It’s Hk, you suck and they hate you. A brand new caliber in the hk23 line would demand a premium by hk’s marketing ideology because they know people will buy it, especially if they decided to do a limited run. Maybe not +$3500 but definitely significantly more than the current mk23. Just my opinion, probably wrong but who’s to say so? I mean they charged $1000 for the p30 for years before they dropped them down to the $600 range. Hk would have a lot of pride in their 10mm and the price would definitely reflect upon that.

In a year or so … Im going to look in purchasing a TH45 .. and maybe a TH10
After any bugs are worked out and prices come down
Im especially interested in the 45 …

Well, you can be assured that if the TH .45 displays significant problems on the user end, Taurus will never release a TH in 10mm. o_O

What would be the point?

Glock 20 gen 2 with aftermarket barrel. Kboomed a mag out of the bottom with some range ammo way back when with the stock barrel.

Also have full size and compact wonder finish all steel eaa witnesses. I have 40 barrels for both and won't shoot 10 out of the compact anymore. Mags aren't 100% reliable with 10mm. But I love how they point and shoot.

Just the one 10mm...a DW CBOB bought used.
Had some initial problems smashing case mouths, but got that sorted and a really great 1911.
I've had times when I wanted a G20 or G29, but until (ain't happening at my age) I live in AK I really can't justify a Glock/Toy.
I've been shooting 1911s since my dad introduced me to his WWII example about ah... sixty years ago. Still pretty happy with them, and I think I will be happy with them until the Good Lord calls me home

G40 MOS
Sig-Sauer 1911 Tac-Ops

Got the G40 as a woods/outdoors gun and also as a SHTF option.

The Sig-Sauer has been a frequent daily carry piece, especially during winter. In summer, alternate with a 1911 in .45ACP and for "dress," so-to-speak, a P938. Really hard to beat a 1911 platform and it's near clones.

I saw somebody had an RIA double stack "2011"(I guess) 10mm. I looked at that for my 6" 10mm interest, but had some concerns about the newness of the design and the availability of magazines. That, and the cost, eventually led me to the Block G40 (not a huge Block, er, Glock fan). How is the double stack RIA to shoot, and was it a pain to get mags/etc. for it?

My only 10mm is a Springfield Armory Operator 1911 type. Got a couple of boxes of ammo and test fired it. It's a safe queen.
