S&W Mdl. 625-7 .45 Colt Mountain Gun with Federal 225gr LHPs.

Sure-Fire 6P.

Cold Steel Bowie.

P220ST w/ two mags +1 of 200 gr. Gold Dot +P's.

4 flashlights so's I kin blind them sum'bucks! ;)

(actually, I figure so I can count on at least one of them working)

3 condoms,1 tube of K-Y Jelly, and a Band-Aid.
Hmmm ... the mind boggles as to the requirement for that band-aid!!

I guess the three rubbers are to incapacitate BG once you have em all over his head ..... and then the KY will render him useless as he slips on it!! Or is that to get the rubbers over his head?!:D

Hmm, let's see........
S&W 5906; 1 loaded mag of Starfire hollowpoints; 101st Airborne coffee cup my wife keeps griping at me to wash; my blue mag light, her purple mag light; 2 video games: Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, Max Payne; 4 CD's: Sammy Hagar "Red Hot", Judas Priest "Jugulator", Outlaws "Diablo Canyon", Motorhead "Everything Louder than Everyone Else"; Tylenol; Bottle of gun oil and a rag; Set of allen wrenches (I've been looking for those); Ear plugs; Pocket knife; Checkbook; Bills; Other useless correspondence; Windows for dummies book; Savage brochure; instructions for my clock radio/telephone; Phillips screwdriver (been looking for that, too...).

Guess I'd better clean my desk out.........

ANM

It's not what's "in" my night stand, it's what's holstered and strategically strapped to the back of it......Taurus 92 with 15 rounds of nasty. Easily reached, not visible to visitors, one in the pipe, double action, flip safety off and viola.....one handed SD if needed.

On top: phone, cell phone, radio, lamp, CRKT folder, everything that came out of my pockets.

1st drawer: Maglight, extra batteries, portable radio, gun oil and grease, sharpening equipment, cleaning patches, 8 knives, dozens of keys for who knows what, lots of loose pennies.

2nd drawer: Kimber TLE loaded with Gold dots, Maglight, sheath knife, several extra magazines, shorts.

Near-by: 12ga. Mossy

Some chap stick and Kleenex, but in the top drawer of my wardrobe near the bed there is a S&W mod 36, 2 speedloaders and a Surefire light. We have Two small children so everything we own is above our heads!!!:D

ANM,
... Motorhead "Everything Louder than Everyone Else"; Tylenol; ...
:D

Mine: contents of pockets - wallet, keys, loose change, Spyderco Rescue knife, lighter. Coupla pens. VFD pager. For HD, there's a 12 ga. Remington 11-48 in the corner. It fits me, and I'm used to it. Other SGs nearby. No serious handguns in my collection right now, but I'm working on it. Sam the Wonder Dog sleeps under the bed.

Night Stand

My wife and I have yet to have any kids so it is feasible to keep a loaded gun in the night stand. Here is my list.

  • Ruger P89
  • 15 Round factory mag in gun
  • Two 30 Round mags, loaded with HP and FMJ
  • Surefire
  • Under the bed is my Mossberg 500
    [/list=a]

Pager
2 cell phones
misc. cat and dog fur (shed)
box of S&B .357SiG
happy pills (don't ask)
blue stiffy pills (gift to wife from dr. shooting buddy- don't ask)
#4 W-W 12 ga. shells.
Mossberg in corner.
Texas Parks & Wildlife mag.

Regards,
Rabbit.

For people that keep a mag of FMJ on hand, what brand/load to you use, and why would you want FMJ in the first place? Just curious.

...why would you want FMJ in the first place?

Here in AZ and other places with warmer climates, it isn't such a factor, but there is a line of thought that says that a hollowpoint might not penetrated enough when the BG is wearing multiple layers or heavy clothing. IOW, in cold climates, a FMJ might be a better choice.

I'm no ballistician, so I'll defer to anyone who has different information.
