When is the last time you fired your nightstand gun?

Bedside gun is a Gen 5 Glock 17. I bring it with me every time I go to the range and put a least one 17 round magazine through it. I try to make it to the range at least once a week. It’ll be with me again at the range tomorrow.

My nightstand gun is technically my under-the-bed gun. Stevens 311 20 ga. I haven't shot it in a couple of years truth be told. I've always got another within arms reach and it gets shot weekly.

This past weekend, But that was the first time in about 4 years. I somehow have gotten old and don't much enjoy shooting anything larger than a 22 handgun or a 410 long gun. Getting old takes the fun out of a lot of things. But, At the range this past weekend I decided to get my carry permit. Anybody going to laugh if I use a 22 for a carry gun??

I also have a full size M&P as a nightstand gun. It's a 1.0 9mm with Apex trigger and a light. That particular one hasn't been fired since about September of last year but my competition gun is the also a 9mm M&P 1.0 with Apex trigger and it sees about 4-5k rounds per year so I am ok with not shooting the other as often. The AR-15 that sits by the bed is also my around the house varmint gun so it gets shot at least a couple times a month with several trips to the range per year. The 20 gauge 870 that sits by the bedroom door sees the least use at a couple boxes of bird shot once a year at the skeet range or the buckshot it stays loaded with whenever there is an armadillo or coyote in the front yard.

Two days ago, chronographing ammunition. I stuck a Crimson Trace laser on the gun, and now it bangs into my thumb when I shoot.

Just before the COVID19 crap started.
Hoping it ends soon as neither my EDC or my bedside gun has been fired in about two months, and I am really annoyed by that....

Today!!! I also will be changing my night stand gun. I want to start carrying my XDM 45 acp compact 3.8 on remote hikes. I may also carry it when temperatures are cooler. I will have a 13 round magazine in the pistol at night and a 9 round when hiking with it concealed.

I have a police trade in Glock 22 that is my go to handgun 99% of the time. It's my night stand, truck, hiking, do all carry gun.

I have plenty of other choices and shoot all different kinds at the range. Yesterday, when I had to drive downtown to look at a job where there were protesters, broken glass, and plywood covered windows.

I didn't even have to think about it.

Shot it last about two months ago.

Given those situations, I would not have even bothered to go "downtown"

Not me. The 22 Long rifle is a far deadlier round than any 25 or 32 automatic. Almost every mammal on the planet has been put down by a 22.

I keep 3 guns handy as house guns. Since I live in California the law states that if a criminal or a kid breaks into my house and steals my “easily accessible” gun I could be held liable so they are in handgun safes.

Anyway, enough about silliness, the bedside gun and the others get fired and cleaned at least once a month.

My night stand gun is an S&W 327 Night Guard 8 shot .357 loaded with .38 Special Federal HST rounds. My others are a Glock 45 and a Glock 34.

They all went to the range 2 weeks ago. I think they all need to go again tomorrow.

My bedside gun is my G17.

I shoot it every weekend for practice at home, every Monday night at an IDPA match and every fourth Saturday at an IDPA match.

Short answer is quite regularly.
