I have an upper receiver off of a Colt HBAR Match Target, no barrel, no bolt.
It does have the rear sight, forward assist, dust cover, and barrel nut.

It only had a few hundred rounds through it when I decided I wanted a target rifle instead. I replaced it with a cheap flat top upper with no forward assist or dust cover, a free float tube and a Leupold 2-7, made a very accurate rifle.

I haven't decided for sure to sell the Colt upper or not, but I don't see myself ever using it. I thought about puting it on ebay but I think they would kick it off because it could possibly be used on an evil "assault weapon". I assume it would be worth a little more than the run-of-the-mill upper because it is from a Colt HBAR match.
Mostly I'm just trying to figure out what would be a fair price to ask should I decide to post it for sale.

Thanks in advance for any input.

People do favor Colts over other brands, but Hbars are not the most popular style of barrel profile so it's up in the air.

Depends on the buyer. If I had to guess it's market to someone who knows what it is, I'd say $300 tops. But, then you might stick it up on gunbroker or auction arms and get $400 or more out of it. Doubt it, but it's possible.

Just my .02
