Are the G2's compatible with all barrels/grips/stocks like the original? I've never owned a Contender, but I came across one the other day and was very impressed with how it handled.

If I have a G2, can I convert it from a pistol to rifle and vice versa? (assuming the legal necessities are covered) How accurate are the new ones? I'm interested in .22/.223/.30-06 calibers.

I'd be interested to hear this one , I bought a contender G1 used with both pistol and rifle barrels , better said I inherited it from a dear friend :D, I have no idea how it was originally registered if at all .
If I want to shoot the calibers that I have in rifle I put it together as a rifle , if I want the pistol I put it together as a pistol .
As is obvious to anyone who knows these guns it would be too easy to make a SBR so best not to have the rifle stock if all you own is pistol barrels .
As far as I'm aware barrels are interchangable between the G1 and the G2 but not the pistol grips or rifle stocks due to a change in grip angle , I'm pretty sure the Encore parts do not fit either .
If you get one they are fun and accurate and extra barrels are available on Ebay cheaper than new otherwise midway and midsouth sells new barrels at a reasonable price .
As they are single shot you can load them up with pointy bullets (unlike tube fed guns which a lot of calibers are based on) also there are a lot of wildcat chamberings if you like that kind of thing (7-30 waters is great).
Good luck , you can PM me if you have any other questions on loading for them etc :)
