Time for a new range bag. I remebered some time ago the THR endorsed bag was Midway, but I just looked and was hoping to come off a little better than 80 bucks. so what good rangebags at a decent practice does anyone know of these days?

Just watch the ads, Midway puts their bags on sale about every third month or so.
You are not going to find one for less, the Midway is already an offshore knockoff of sturdier name brands. My compact Midway is not as good a bag as my melted Dillon, for example, but it only cost half as much. My big Midway is better built but is not real efficient in its use of space.

The only cheaper option I can think of would be to go down to Lowes or HD and get a tool bag of the right size.

the small midways bag is nice. They're usually on sale for 25 or 30. the big bag is HUGE. I think you can fit a whole gun safe in it.

I'd get the small green one for 30.

the big one is 45.

+ probably $10 shipping. if you have some other stuff you want to order and can hit $50 of non-sale items you can get $10 off and basically have free shipping.

I have both the Midway Competition bag and the Compact Competition bags and think for the money when on sale are a great buy. I've had a few range bags over the years but these have not only held up better than a few that cost more but also hold more.

it's on the home page as an advertised special.

It always irritates me when I can't find something and somebody else comes along and says "here it is". makes me wonder why I couldn't find it........

I like my compact Midway competition bag. My only complaint with that (and my gun case) is that the cheap plastic clips they use on the ends of the zipper strings pull right off. I usually cut them all off right away now and replace them with 550 cord and a nice knot to grab onto. Or another easy one is use an old nut with the string through it, easy to grab onto.

my black one has all metal zippers like on luggage. I think only the green ones have strings. But it's good to know the need replacing. Thanks for the heads up.

The Midway bags are really well made and have all manner of features and doohickys.

Just wait for a sale. But like others have said the BIG bag is really big.
