Whats the most expensive gun you brought

Hmm, most expensive? That would probably have to be the D-engraved NIB Colt Diamondback in 22. But that was a few years ago and the price is not important. Have not spent over $1,000 since on any firearm. That is going to change soon. Time to start buying Colts again.

About 1976 I bought a Citori. Could not shoot it. My friends shot it well. I got rid of it as soon as possible, lost a few hundred bucks. Lesson learned; if one learns to shood a sxs at a young age stay with that style. I do have a HD pump but never tried a a non sxs type gun for hunting after the Citori.

The most expensive, initially usable gun is a toss up between a pair of Browing Citori 525 Sporting Clays shotguns, one 12 ga, the other 20 and any one of several European drillings.
The most expensive gun I bought in relation to income was a Johnson 1941 rifle.

Whats the most expensive gun you brought. Are you happy with the most expensive gun you every purchase and do you still have it---if not why--HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY FOR IT

I don't spend a good chunk of money on a gun without doing extensive research beforehand....that's why I'm happy with the purchases and still have them. Not really important how much they cost, but the quality is there.

I paid $1000 for my Browning BT-99 trap shotgun. I'm very happy with it. It's a keeper. :)

Les Bear super varmint in .204 ruger, orderd it during my first deployment to Iraq, cost me $2,300 plus shipping. Thats about a months worth of combat pay for an E-4 combat engineer. That was in 2005 and I still have, love, and shoot the hell out of that rifle. Me and a Marine friend of mine took it out a couple weekends back and busted up a bunch of sage rats (about the size of a pop can) we started at about 250 yards and got board quick. They are not even a challenge till they are 350 or farther.

Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 Magnum.
I very foolishly offered to trade a guy for it, offering to fix his computer. Took me 42 hours. Ouch! And before you say "Ain't computers just a couple of hundred bucks?", back then a cheap desktop was about $4,000.

In 1991, I bought a NIB .44 magnum blued Desert Eagle. It cost $1250.00 out the door. Unfortunately, I do not have it any longer. I sold it to my younger brother, and he eventually traded it for some other firearms. Still wish I have it...

Benelli M2. $1225. Like it fine, but it's a 12 and I like to shoot a 20 a little better (not due to recoil, better challenge).

Bought? Don't really remember.

I think I spent over $1,500 in custom work on a Commander I spent about $5-600 on.

I took a week leave to go spend with Jim Garthwaite building my up own 1911 from an unfinished frame. Including the parts, a week off work, the hotel and food, and Jim's fee that's probably the most expensive.

Bought my Springfield Champion 1911 for $1000 a little over a year ago. It has been worth every penny.

Bought it in 1994, and it is possibly worth 60-80% more than I paid for it, and the waiting list got longer. 4-5 years. Shiloh Sharps 45-70.

I spent probably too much on a Savage in .375H&H with a Burris scope, but a buddy needed the money.

I've spent more ON my Colt 6920 because I can't seem to stop shooting it and I've gone through several accessories that I've changed my mind on later.

My H&K USP 45 Compact remains the most expensive firearm I've bought, it was about about 900 after tax back in 2001. Sold it because I needed money, haven't got around to buying a replacement for it, yet.

PTR-91K ~ $1099
MSAR STG-556 ~ $1000

Not the most expensive guns in the collection. My father has some Nazi Lugers that are worth more than my life.

Gotta admit I've never splurged much. There are some "project" guns that I don't even want to start adding up because I'll realize I could have had a custom built rifle instead of a pile of parts, but as far as an actual honest-to-goodness gun, it'd have to be my AR15. I've got about $700 in it.

Most expensive? A Sears-Roebuck double barrel 12 ga. $79.95 out of the Sears catalog in 1967 I guess it was. I was 15 years old and worked ten hour days, for $5.00 a day picking tomatoes to earn that money.

It was worth every dime.
In keeping with Cajun's theme, I guess my Remington 760 would be my most expensive at $139.00 plus 3x9 Redfield scope. I had my father buy for me when I was 14. At a $1.50 an hr. it took a lot of grass cutting to save enough for it.
And yes I still have it 42yrs. later.
Other than that, I treated my myself to a Browning XS Special 12ga. O\U a few years ago.
