What is the most popular 20" AR-15 and why? I can see the positives and negatives of the following types but wanted to get input on which one is the most popular overall?

1) 20" A2 HBAR
2) 20" A2 Light
3) 20" A4/A3 HBAR Flattop
4) 20" A4/A3 Light Flattop

I just checked. HBAR with flattop and detachable carry handle is the most popular 20" build.

Of course, that result could be due to a small sample size.:D

I'd stick with the goverment profile. Ever try to run a stage with a HBAR. The extra weight real slows down being able to move onto target and from target to target. And all that weight is out front. Guns too slow to move around. And they really don't seem to be much more accurate, if at all. Just heavier.

i would say from what i see most at the range, would be the a2 HBAR and if i was gonna have a dedicated 20" barrel ar it would be an a2 HBAR.

I actually prefer my "A1" light barrel, but I like the A2 Govt profile barrel also.

"80-90's era A2" style with Govt profile barrel (thin under the handguards).
