What's the most uncommon cartridge you load for?

.444 Marlin if I can find some more brass.

Midway has .444 Marlin brass, but at 96 cents a round, you're almost better off to buy the loaded ammunition and shoot it to get your brass.

.25 ACP. A real "Zen" experience.

I understand. Those who haven't, don't.

I've had a lot more fun with it since Hornady came out with a 35 grain XTP bullet for it which opened up more opportunities for powder choices.

Odd rounds:
.45 Auto Rim - in Auto Rim cases.
.32 ACP - or 7.65mm Browning, if you prefer.

And two sort of uncommon ones:

.44 Winchester Centerfire (.44-40) and
.303 British - Yes, I reload for it.

351 WSL is probably my least common.

I'm probably not going to get into it, my buddy asked if I could help him with his 577 Snider. I guess it's uncommon if you have to make the brass from an uncommon shotgun shell.

41 Special

I have a GP100 3" w/adj sights converted by Clements to 41 Special.

I use loads from a magazine article. 8.0 gr Power Pistol works well with either 210 XTPs, 210 plated Xtremes, or 210 Xtreme lead, rated at 1100-1200 fps. I have gone a few 1/10ths over, and that works fine too.

Brass is from Starline, but I could also trim 41 Mag by 1/8".

41 Special - Starline just released a run of new brass for it. My gun is a Ruger Old Model Single-Six. I would love to have a Ruger or S&W 586 conversion.

32-20 - Given a new lease on life by Cowboy Action Shooters. I find it very useful off of the range here on the farm.

7.62 x 54r - Sure tons of surplus MN 91/30's and M-44's in this country but how many folks actually buy brass and and bullets and reload for it rather than shooting berdan primed surplus military ammo?

Not an attack, just an observation. It's interesting to see what some others consider uncommon. A bunch of the posted cartridges are often available at Wal-Mart out here.

I haven't loaded these myself, but my neighbor loads .40-82 WCF with Swiss blackpowder and an old Lyman hand tool. I do cast the bullets for him, though.:)

Most uncommon cartridges i load for

297/250 Rook, 7mm Mashburn Super Mag,and a 12 Bore Poor Boy Dangerous game rifle that is only Dangerous on one End so far.

Do people reload .30-30? I never read anyone here doing it. Might be one of those "common rounds / uncommon to reload"

I load a lot of 30-30, and I imagine a lot of others do too. All of the bullet companies make 30-30 specific bullets.
