Whats the point?

Some people used to those think Long Tom shotguns shot harder.
That might have been true in black-powder shotgun days, but not any more.
Some people are not well informed and still want a very long barrel.

On the other hand, Mossberg seems to follow the "If you build it, they will come" school of marketing.

Witness the 500 pumps they are selling with "No Country for Old Men" fake cans big enough to get caught in a car door on the way out, and the other one with a .50 BMG muzzle break that looks like the business end of a main battle tank.

There is some application for very long "Metro" shotgun barrels used for city nuisance animal control. The really long barrel is not as loud as a shorter one.

375.00" holy smokes, good luck to the seller, buy you a nice remington 870 and mossberg 500 both for that practicaly.

It WILL be nice and quiet though, and have some nice swing momentum.........if I used a pump for waterfowl (both of which are not in my lifestyle), it might work

I would guess it was made for turkey shoots. I see no other reasonable explanation.

Remington made some 34 and 36" trap barrels in the past for 870s and 1100s. This may be similar in purpose.

I've shot one TC so equipped. Swung like a wrecking ball.
