What's the ugliest gun you've ever seen or owned?

Not really.

Glocks cost they, they're more reliable and they hold more cartridges./QUOTE]]
I'm not sure what you mean by glock cost they?

Glocks are very good guns but they are not more reliable than a quality 1911. And ammo capacity isn't actually such a big deal. I mean, they hold 8 rounds. That should be enough any HD or SD situation. And 1911s do not cost that much more than a Glock. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=307541935

I guess it doesnt have to be a functioning weapon to still be ugly as all get out

I believe this Frankenstein of a weapon used marlin 60, stevens shotgun, and various other parts in its horrifying creation....:barf:

I was at a gun shop a couple of weeks ago looking for some scope bases & got my eyes burned by a Hi Point with a Green Slide. They way they looked never really bothered me too much before but that was ugly.

This is not a, "1911 is the best handgun ever", thread.

Anyway, I submit the TKB-022

I have to disagree with the Glock comments. As far as polymer framed handguns go, Glock is one of the best looking ones. It has a cohesive style to it. Simple and minimalistic. There's nothing there that doesn't need to be there. The perfect opposite would be the XD series. It has all these extra serrations and engravings to try to make it look cool and it just fails at it miserably. It's like the designers though "lines and angles make for good looking guns" but with no knowledge of how lines and angles actually work, so they just stuck them randomly all over the place.

As for what I think is the ugliest guns, without just repeating what everyone else mentioned. I would have to say most modern designed sporting shotguns.

They all have this ugly Euro-Trash look to them. Really just another example of designers putting curves and lines on a gun just for the sake of it with no real purpose behind any of it.

I am not saying the 1911 is the best handgun never. Most probably it is not. I was merely use it as a very common design, equally as good as Glock. Absolutely Glocks are high quality! However they are not "the best gun ever". And hey, if you like the way they look better than other polymer framed guns, go for it. I don't think it does. Besides you gotta admit, reliability and accuracy is not what this thread is about.;)

Great thread...so good it made me register to nominate my favorite ugly gun. I bought it about 20 years ago because it was cheap, and "plastic, tactical" pistols were all the rage.

I still have it, mostly because I doubt I could ever sell it. It's a Ram-Line Exactor .22 pistol. It's really not a bad plinker, reasonably accurate and fairly reliable for a .22 semi-auto, but it's unGodly ugly.
