Wildest? A custom STI. It was red/yellow marbleized. Wild. The best finish I ever saw was a high polish stainless steel and purple polymer EAA Witness. Sharp.

As far as the sharpest finish, for me it's a blued S&W with wooden grips - any of them.

Sharpest I've seen is the blued Colt Pythons. Wildest are the hot purple finishes I've seen on some pistols -- both solid colors and stripe.

Day-Glow Lorcin! Yep that's right Orange slide Green frame.The oddest thing was that it glowed in the dark too.Saw it at a local gunshow.Indivdgual wanted $350 for it.I could only laugh but some were in AHHH!

The colors on http://www.mrarms.com/colors.html are pretty wild looking.
Some days, I want my sig's slide done in blue, with the frame in matte black.
Most days, though, I get the feeling that would be awfully gaudy.
edit: Having seen that boron carbide finished 1911, I want that done to my sig!

Dutch artist makes gun from her own skin

AMSTERDAM — Dutch artist Joanneke Meester has put more than her personal feelings into her latest piece to protest at rising violence in society – she used her own skin to make a tiny gun.
A surgeon friend scraped a 20 centimetre section of skin from Meester's abdomen under local anaesthetic to provide the raw materials for the work of art. Meester then used the skin to cover plastic bars to make a three-by-six centimetre pistol.
Describing the consistency as "rubbery and cold", the 38-year-old Amsterdam artist maintains she had no choice but to use her own skin for the gun.
"Otherwise it would lose its expressiveness," she told newspaper De Volkskrant. It is easy to shoot someone, she said, "until you realise it is skin that is being pierced."
She said the artwork underlined her "concern at the rising level of violence in society".
The 'skin gun' will be on public display at the Kunstvlaai art fair in Amsterdam from 8 to 16 May.

Worst ever I saw just today at a gun show. A HOT pink Smith and Wesson revolver. All the metal was HOT pink and the grips were a deep purple. After getting my stomach under control I asked the dealer if he had any pride at all. He told me it was a special order for some woman and business is business. That thing would never need a round put through it. Just a good look would turn most muggers stomachs over, not to mention stun and partialy blind them. Hope I never see another like it.
