I have a SIG P229R 9mm DAK and H&K P2000SK 9mm LEM and now looking for something "different". Ammo cost isnt a big issue because it wont be shot that often like my 9mm's or .22lr's. Double Tap sells the 135gr Nosler rounds which are popular from the reviews for $30 which is the same price as what local dealers charge for premium 9mm JHP. Im starting to save up for the gun and want to get some ammo in the near future. What do you use for CC and/or HD?

I have a Glock 23 and use Fed's .40S&W165 gr HST ammo. Thats pretty much what I use for all my CCW's. For the home defense loads I use the Magsafe SWAT rnds. 1 Full mag in my 1911, my wife's Glock mod.22. Great knockdown low room / wall penatration. When we leave the house we change mags to the Fed HST. rnds. Pain in the butt, but time well spent. Semper FI

Winnie 175 Silvertips.

Have carried with DT 180 Gold Dots also.

Winnies are easier to buy.

Roll my own for all other shooting with my 10's.

If you haven't shot a 10, give it a try. You'll be hooked.

I had no idea there was a 135 grain 10mm. I looked it up and sure enough, there it is.

I assume the Speer bullets Double Tap is using is the same as for the .40SW, because to my knowledge, they don't make anything that is specifically for 10mm.

So, unfortunately, I don't own a Glock 29, BUT I do own a bunch of .40 cal Glocks and can tell you that the Speer Gold Dot 165 grain works well for them, so I'd imagine it would work well at an even higher velocity. Although, I'm sure 180 grain works fine too.

I'd say the Double Tap Speer GD 165 or 180 grain offerings are probably as good as anything else.

But of course, no Glock 29 here to say for sure.

Also, it's the same price as the Nosler loadings.

Maybe that helps, but I know it wasn't what you were really looking for.
