What's your "never buy" gun?

They avoid the why part so that when they jump on the band wagon and say "Glock", they don't have to give a reason, either because they don't have one or it's too stupid to say. :neener:

Same reason I don't like potato guns. Sure the ammo is cheap and it has no recoil but it has horrible stopping power. I haven't checked the statistics on hydrostatic shock yet though so the verdict is still out on them as a defensive weapon.
 
So many haters...
I own a Taurus pt111 Millenium in 9mm and it takes all day to pull that trigger back. Never would I buy another one. I was going to sell it to my LGS and the guy there said he wouldn't buy it just because of that.
I don't get the hating on HK. My first gun, which I still have and carry everyday is a USP 40. I found it reasonably priced when I bought it 13 years ago. Only had one problem with it ever. I shoot fine with it and don't have huge brick hands.
I carry a Glock on duty and in all the training and shooting we did with it at the academy, never once did I ever see a problem. Not a Glock "fanboy" per se, but never had a problem with it, and liked it better than my previous carry HK P2000. That was a sucky trigger pull.
Other than that I hate all other guns and you suck if you like them... :neener:

Ok, I'll never own a glock because I find them to be ugly, they don't fit my hand at all, the grip is horrible and I don't want to own what the rest of the sheeple think I should own.

If you want a glock, more power to you. I don't hate them, I just don't want one.

Anyone ever think of buying a .243 WSSM rifle? Stupid looking little cartridge that wore a barrel out in 300 rounds. I know a guy that got one about ten years ago that was missing 3 inches of rifling in the barrel. If you want to talk accuracy issues, that about tops the list.
 
Pretty much anything made by Kel-Tec. They look horrible, feel like poorly designed toys, and every one I have shot has failed in some way. Then there is the fact that they tend to release poorly engineered guns and have buyers figure out the problems so they don't have to. Like the PMR 30 where they produced a gun that was sending bullets down range sideways. Seems like something a gun company should figure out before they sell guns to people.

Oh, and their P3AT owners annoy me. They can't form a sentence without somehow fitting in the sentence that "Ruger copied my gun".

Wife: "Hey honey, what do you want for dinner?"

P3AT owner: "Anything, as long as it wasn't made by Ruger or shot buy a Ruger firearm. They copied my pistol! Oh, the humanity!"

Foreign guns of any brand unless something similar is not available domestically at a reasonable price. This most definitely includes all glocks.

I find a lot of this a Ford / Chevy / Mopar argument. What one guy swears by another claims is junk. Fwiw I'm not a big fan of Glocks but that is just me. I have shot Taurus Raging Bulls in 44 mag and never had a problem with them.
I have a PJK 9 HP, the FEG Copy of a Browning Hi Power and it is a fine gun a lot of people would never consider owning. I'm a big fan of guns that work and go bang when you pull the trigger, other than that. Lorcin Jennings and Raven are the only brands I would not open my wallet for. I'm much more about function as opposed to form. It boils down to what feels comfortable in my hand and does the job I need it to do. Which is mostly hunting.

Ravens are alright. Lots of people say that the Raven and FIE Titan are the best of the SNS pistols. I've even seen some pretty elitist people talk up these guns.

Oh yeah! I've never had anyone volunteer to stand in front of my potato gun and get shot. :D
 
Shot my brothers Grendel .380 this weekend. What a POS. You can't fire through a mag without your trigger finger going numb and the slide taking off your hide.

Amen. Not only are key locks on firearms unusable in a defense situation, and it has me asking "why?" every time, but I have also heard some horror stories about them. Oh and we know that guns need more peices to be more reliable, lol.
 
trigger locks

At some point in time it will be illegal to disable the built in trigger locks. I will never own one.
 
Sig P229 DAK. These replaced the M9 a couple years ago as the USCG's LE carry weapon. It's stupidly overpriced and everything about this gun (comfort, reliability, accuracy) is mediocre, except the trigger, which flat out sucks. The pull is about a mile long. I guess having weapons that are less suited for actually shooting people makes us more politically correct. :(
 
Any Kimber because of their reputation for being a crapshoot in reliablity and having poor customer service. Too many other 1911's out there without the same reputation.

Don't see ever buying another Taurus after my most recent experience with them.
