I want a fully tricked out Browning Hi Power by Cylider and Slide. I love the Hi Power and saw one at the C$S booth at this years shot show. Now if only i had the cash. :(

Must have? An authentic scope Whitworth rifle from the Civil War. There have been others during the time (notably the 40-50 lb target rifles carried by some sharpshooters of Co. E or I of the First U.S. Sharpshooters or the two companies of Andrew Sharpshooters) but none were ever as portable as the Whitworth.

Gotta disagree with the fine gentleman

lendringser,

At 900 yards, a good shooter with a good load and mucho practice can ring a buffalo silhouette on a regular basis...a life-sized buff silhouette. No three-inch groups on newspaper classifieds...
Beg to differ (sorta). An 1874 Sharps with black powder can easily hold MOA (or a hair over) out to 1000 yards. Of course that’s no three inches at 900 yards, but its a lot better than several feet at 900. The guys winning the BPCR matches are all shooting pretty much MOA. That includes off hand shooting and of course all shots are with the open vernier style sights.

My Quigley Down Under is a Sharps Rifle chambered in 45-70 with a Target Sight on the Rear Tang. Barrel is 34 inches.

My Modern Day Quigley..is a M1A Super Match

My most Accurate Rifle is a Custom Built Mauser chambered in 308 Norma Magnum.

Ditto the SA M25 White Feather. I don't have one. Dreaming about it, though. Would settle for the SuperMatch M1A bedded in the McMillan Marine Corps camo stock. (See my thread elsewhere on "Educating me on the M1A.")

My Quigley would be a Shiloh Sharps 45-110 with a 34" barrel... :D

I wanted one of those ever since I saw the movie.

I will probably have to settle for a 45/70, 32" though...

Dream rifle

1903 Mannlicher Schoenauer Carbine with Double set trigger. With that little baby Professional Hunters on the Dark Continent harvested all sorts of large and dangerous game. The action on them is so slick! Sets the ol' salivary glands to maximum overdrive!

Can I have two Quigleys? Well I have two anyway.

First one is a Winchester 1886 in 50-110. I've wanted one for over 20 years. In all that time I've only seen one for sale.

Second one is a new in the box 2nd Gen Colt SAA. .45 colt cal, 4.75" barrel. Blue with CCH.

Someday maybe, someday I hope.

Any modern pistol with a barrel less than 12 inches long and an overall length of less than 24 inches. But then, I live in the UK, you see.

Swiss Stg90 (Sig 550).

That's my big one.

It was a No4mk1T sniper, but I got one of those! ;)

My Quigley ? ?

The old M2 "Ma Deuce" .50 BMG. If I could even afford to BUY one, let alone pop more than a few rounds a year

[sniff sniff...there's just something about John Browning's designs........ ]

If I ever saw someone consistently holding MOA shooting offhand - with iron sights! - I'd be suitably impressed.

I can't do it. :(

S/A M1A, iron sights on humanoid targets out to 600 yds, with my eyes, no problem.

If I need to take the 900 line I'll add the Arms mounted ranging scope that tells the distance and where the hold on is at any range out to 1000 meters.

To have the one I would really like one day would have to be the Barrett .50 in 10 rd semi config. Now we are talking a mile and a half with the right scope.

I think people are taking the theard question too literly (sp). It doesn't have to be a long range rifle, just a gun that you always wanted and will get someday.

Mine is a H&K MP5 and/or a H&K P7. I will own one or both of these someday but not until I have more "toy money".

mine would be a classic smokepole:
Long Land Pattern Brown Bess Musket
or perhaps an authentically styled Kentucky Rifle, flintlock like the originals
