No Country For Old Men is hard to beat-a supressed Remington 1100 and a sawed off Winchester 1897

Tom Horn with Steve McQueen toting a Winchester 1876

Dirty Harry-Smith 29 AND a Model 70 458!

WB.

The ones I have on DVD must be my favorites...

Tombstone (my all time fav)
Full metal jacket
The bourne movies
Shooter
the kingdom
blood diamond
lord of war
black hawk down
tears of the sun (very good)
Top Gun (much bigger guns but nonetheless a kick arse movie)

It was pretty interesting to see some of the movies listed; I was thinking of listing some that others hadn't listed (ones that were old I thought would be missed) but by the time I got here they had already been listed.... where eagles dare was one of those. I saw platoon also.....how about patton & tora tora tora. A few scenes out of U-571 had some good stuff too.

Edit: Oh yeah, how about deathwish. What about citcoms? I used to watch Hunter and Magnum PI religiously as a kid.

Most of Michael Mann's movies are known for great gunplay. One movie I watched with my Dad when I was a kid back in the late '80s(when my Mom was at work) was Thief. James Caan stalking through a house to get some payback on a mob boss with his 1911 longslide definitely leaves an impression when you are 5 or 6 years old :D. Heat, Miami Vice (series AND movie), and Collateral are no exception.

Some others:
Hard Boiled
The Killer
The Replacement Killers
3:10 to Yuma
The Clint Eastwood Man with No Name series Westerns
Swordfish (the M-249 in the trunk of John Travolta's TVR Tuscan was a nice touch)
The Die Hard series
Ronin

Steve McQueen's been mentioned a few times but he was great in hotel shoot-out at the end of 'The Getaway'

also loved the fire-fights in 'Aliens'

After some reflection, here's my list:
The Treasure of the Sierra Madres
The Big Sleep
For Whom the Bell Tolls
Sgt. York
The Dirty Dozen
The Matrix
Silverado
Saving Private Ryan
Quigley Down Under
The Longest Day
A Bridge Too Far
Anything with John Wayne
Anything with Chuck Norris too..:)

The way of the Gun, Lots of active re-loads, jam-clearing. and the long gun's repor is heard AFTER the shot lands.

Heat, As mentioned, the bank Scene.

No Country for Old men, L'lwelyn(sp?) shot and doesn't get 'knocked down' or 'staggered', doesn't even notice he's hit until he's finished fleeing.

Smoking Ace's, Very flashy, but lots of active re-loads.

Last Man Standing, Who cares how inaccurate it was, freaking awsome....

For TV shows I like;

Jericho, they actually use blanks, that's awsome for TV.....

Burn Notice, Mike Weston's Trigger control is great.

And, with no further Adue... FIREFLY!
