What's your Summer Carry weapon?

Well, I finally upgraded from this: "Ruger LCP, with Hogue Handall Hybrid rubber grip sleeve, loaded with a Buffalo Bore 90-grain +P hollow point in the chamber, and 6 FMJ rounds in the magazine with Ruger floor plate extension, in a Galco pocket holster."

To this: Kahr CM9, with Hogue Handall Jr. rubber grip sleeve, loaded with 6+1 rounds of Speer Gold Dot Short Barrel 124-grain +P ammo, in a pocket holster.

I carried the LCP pretty much exclusively for almost 3 years, but decided I could put up with slightly more size and weight in my summer cargo shorts pocket if it meant upgrading from .380 to 9mm. The Kahr is pushing the envelope of comfortable pocket carry for me, and I'll probably switch back to the LCP occasionally if the pocket requires it.

P3-AT .380 in a pocket holster, or Glock 26 in a IWB, depending on whether I'm wearing a T-shirt or something looser and more concealing.

anything really, depends on how I am dressed.

When really hot here in new mexico, loose pants riding high and correct fitting polo shirt riding out allows me to conceal about anything I own but the mosin.

I usually carry a .40 S&W Browning Hi Power, even on hot days. I tend to wear untucked polo shirts or Hawaiian shirts, and the BHP conceals quite well under them. For those few occasions when I need something smaller, I have a Remington Model 51 that's proven completely reliable with 90 gr. Speer Gold Dot JHPs. The tiny, tiny sights on it are pretty useless, but it's a gun for bad breath distance anyway, so I don't think it will be much of a handicap.

Like some of the other posters here, I'm just not comfortable with pocket carry. I doubt my ability to deploy a gun with such a tiny grip fast enough from a pocket, and then control it well enough when adrenaline is surging through my body and all my fine motor skills are gone. Pants that fit a bit more snugly, or which have cross pockets (like jeans) instead of side pockets make this worse. Sure, with enough practice I could doubtless learn to do it. But I can do it better with a full size gun like the Hi Power (and even the Remington has a grip big enough for all three fingers -- it conceals so well because it's the flattest gun I've ever seen), and I've never had a problem with concealment with these two guns, especially the Remington. I don't think I've ever owned clothes I couldn't make the Remington disappear under. Consequently, I see no need to switch to pocket carry.

My summer carry is the same as my winter carry. In the past it has been my M&P9c. I usually just switch to the flush fitting mag under a t-shirt. Now I'm migrating towards my S&W 3913. Its is one sweet shooting pistol. For occasions, like church service, where i prefer deeper concealment I pocket carry my Bodyguard 380. Believe it or not I shoot it as well as my bigger guns even at distance albeit a little slower due to the DAO trigger.

I like a G19 for summer. Summer is often when people are at their craziest, and I'd rather have a lot of 9mm than a few .380 or .38.

.357 is nice in the woods year round.

I’m not a proponent of miniatures and subcompacts thus full size with no difference to the season.

anyone with a Taurus 24/7 G2 Compact??? I'd love to hear anything about it!
