Everyone always seems to regret selling a gun but there are the few that don't for certain reasons. Have you ever felt no remorse selling one? What was it and why did you sell it?

Oh man, where do I begin?

I've traded into and sold at least 8 Ruger 10-22s and never looked back.

I bought, tried, and ditched a Taurus 92 clone in 40 S&W. Me or that pistol couldn't shoot straight.

I bought 20 35.00 Turkish Mausers during the glut 10 years ago or so, cleaned them up, made sure they were safe, and gave them away as Christmas gifts. I didn't regret that for a second. I liked the Mausers, but how often do you get to buy everyone in your family a gun for Christmas?

I bought and dumped an Iver Johnson Enforcer carbine in .30 Carb. What a junker that one was!

I've traded into and out of several recent-vintage Savage Bolt actions. I never regret it, because I turn a little profit and there's no shortage of those things in this neck of the woods.

I recently sold a Wichester 94 and Mossberg 590 to fund my purchase of a .45 longslide and a .22 Mag Revolver. I don't miss them yet. :)

That's just off the top of my head.

WASR - I bought 2 with the intent to sell one later. No real regrets there.

Taurus model 85 - I bought it and traded it right away. I made about $75 and got a much nicer gun. If I wanted a gun that small, I would want a shrouded hammer anyways. It was a nice gun, but I can find another one anytime.

I have never regretted a gun sale. The 2 above are the only ones I have ever sold.

I have traded and sold many guns, and never honestly regretted the sales. If the gun didnt fit in my hand or didnt do it for me, it should move on. If i loved the gun, i found it a better home or traded up in my mind.

I've only traded one gun off in my life and I dont regret it at all.... I traded a H&R .223 handi-rifle with a cheapo scope on it for a near mint smith and wesson 581 357 mag. Traded straight up and he even gave me a box of shells. :D

Sold a Mini 14 to finance the first AR15, a NAA 22mag mini revolver, PA63 hand buster, and a Taurus PT111, none of which I regret selling.

I traded in my .38 SP101 for an LCR. And I didn't regret it for one second because I carried it (somewhat) concealed.

I gave up a Walther P22 in partial trade for a Colt Trooper MK III .22 and a Chinese SKS in partial trade for a S&W model 10-5 with a 5" barrel. I'll never regret doing either one. I really like revolvers, so, it's all good.

I traded my PT1911 for my witness elite match and haven't blinked an eye. I do regret selling my Czech .30-06, so I guess I'm even.

Traded a Maverick 88 and some cash for a Mossberg 590. Traded a Ruger 10/22 and some cash for a Glock 22. No regrets.

Nothing worse than a semi auto that jams.

Which, oddly eough, is exactly what prompted me to get rid of the 10/22. ;)

Only when I didn't like it or when I traded for something better.

I had a p-64....a great little gun, no problems with it other than I just didnt fit my hand (To small).

Otherwise I sold a black powder pistol I never shot; and a turkish mauser......

THe mauser is the only one I would probably have kept if I could have a do-over.

I have no regrets for selling 99% of the guns I sell. I sell them for the money, the profit. Of course, I'm a FFL dealer, so that's the way it goes.:D
There is that 1% though, and I wish I could try my hand once again in the sale of those.

Don't regret selling a hi point 9mm pistol. OK gun just not lefty friendly.

Also I don't regret selling my Mosin Nagant rifle. Ten ways to scope it and they all seemed to blow beans. Nowadays in my middle age I have to scope a rifle otherwise I can't hit worth a crap. :cuss:

Winchester 1911SL. Unsafe, ungainly, got suckered when I bought it, got suckered when I sold it. Glad it's not around anymore.

Vektor SP2. Nothing wrong with it, just didn't really care for it.

Sistema 1927. Ripped up my hand every time I pulled the trigger. Nothing against 1911s, but I really didn't like that particular pistol. Also got suckered on that one too--someone had tried to remove the finish with a Dremel or grinder. I've fired a 1911 with a beaver tail, and that one was just fine, but the stock true 1911A1 configuration? No thanks.

Mossberg 500. Never shot it a single time, sat behind my front door for a couple of years. Could've been a great gun, but I'm no shotgunner, and ranges don't let you shoot them anyway.

Everything else I've ever owned I wouldn't mind having again.

I sold a Mossberg Silver Reserve 12ga o/u and never looked back. No regrets what so ever. I could never shoot good with it and it seemed over priced for the quality of the firearm. It was a great day when it got sold because I had money to buy a new better gun.

I don't make the decision to sell lightly and thus have not regretted selling a single one of my guns.

CZ 75 Compact, FN Hi Power, and Glock 17. Nothing wrong with any of them, I just found stuff that worked better for me. (I still highly recommend Glocks as guns, though)

i bought a Kel Tec P11 for $190 and intended it to be my summer carry gun. i was going to carry it in a pocket holster in the leg pocket of a pair of cargo shorts. i probably only put about 200 rounds through it in 4 years because it was just plain uncomfortable to shoot and i still found myself carrying the USP-C IWB more. i advertised it here, sold it to a nice gentleman in the parking lot of a local Cabela's. walked into the store and bought a Marlin 981T with the proceeds of the sale. i've had way more fun with the Marlin that i did with the P11. i don't regret that one a bit.

the only other gun i sold was my very first gun, a Browning BL-22. i sold it to pay for books in college. i regret that one every day.

1) Kahr CW40. Too many QC issues.
2) Astra 600. Too much pain in my right hand after shooting it.
3) Walther PPKs (stainless). Too many QC issues.

Hello friends and neighbors // Marlin .30-30

This rifle is perfect for hunting my friends brush land. The .30-30 is a short barrel with see through rings. Figured he would get far more use out of it than I and $120.00 later it was his (he is a good friend).

That first whitetail season I was sort of dissapointed he did not use it right away but said nothing.(he was using a .308 his wife had gotten him) Then one rainy day he took it out and got two bucks, with the short barrel he was able to swing from the first shot (scoped) to the second deer and use the see through rings for the second kill shot.

I still remember that grin and the satisfied look in his eye the first time he told me about it. His nephew just bagged his first whitetail buck using it on similar land in Virginia.

Nope, I don't regret selling the Marlin .30-30 at all. ( I can still use it anytime and do) :D

I also sold a Linead .45/.410 single shot derringer to fund the purchase of a S&W 442, don't regret that one either. I think the 5 shot 442 is lighter
