I am looking for a CCW and am deciding between a few models of S&W revolvers.

1. J-Frame, M&P 340 Centennial (I will use a pocket holster, is the Super Fly the best option? http://www.desantisholster.com/m44.html)
http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/...selected=tech&isFirearm=Y&parent_category_rn=

2. Model 386 Sc/S 2.5 " barrel (which is the best type of CC holster for revolvers this size)
http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/...selected=tech&isFirearm=Y&parent_category_rn=

3. Model 586 L-Comp (Is this gun even concealable, and if so, is IWB possible? What brand?)
http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/...selected=tech&isFirearm=Y&parent_category_rn=

4. Model 60 2 & 1/8 " (Whats the difference between fluted and unfluted?)
http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/...or1=EQUAL&resultType=2&attributeName1=Caliber

Which would be best for concealed carry out of 2-4? I will buy a J-frame just because I can take it in any dress form, but I plan on buying another frame S&W for when I can conceal it under a large shirt with Jeans on. I am 5 ft 11, 165 lbs, built.

Thanks again :)

I didn't vote because I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. But I will answer one questions for you. I have a Smith 686 with a 2.5 inch barrel and I carry it a LOT. So, yes, depending on barrel length, the 586 can be concealed with the right holster and belt.

Thanks for the reply! So, where can I find a holster for it? What options do I have for where I can conceal it? IWB? I'm 5 ft 11, 165 lbs, built

Best value IWB holsters I have found!!!!

Go to www.concealco.com

It is a company called AKJ concealco that makes, in my experience and opinion fantastic IWB holsters, and at a damn good price. For $55-60, you are getting a handmade holster on a quality level that I have only seen on holsters costing in the $80-$90 dollar range.
I bought one for my P232, and was so pleased that I ordered another one before I even took delivery on my SP101.
Great holsters, and Andy Johnson (the owner) personally gets on the phone when you call (the whole company is only him and his wife), and is as nice as can be!!! He has been really good to me in the past. He even sent me a sent of replacement screws for free when I lost a screw on my holster.

The leather is really good quality, it snaps and holds the gun in place when you slide it in. Holds the gun high and tight to the body. It's comfortable all day, and really conceals beautifully.
I can't say enough good things about them.

I carry my 868 in a Milt Sparks #1 Heritage holster and I find it to be quite comfortable. It's a heavy gun, but with the right holster and belt it's comfortable enough to wear all day with no issues.
