The actual way of anti's in america is to call EBR (semi auto tactical rifles) "assault weapons" and most of the time, by images or words, they try to make the naive crouds believe that they are "machine guns" which is nothing less and nothing more than a HUGE LIE !

I was browsing stores in the local area that sold such rifles and found many of them had sold out or nearly so. The ones that seem to be somewhat immune are the Remington ARs that are Mossy Oak cammo with no front sight options.

I did find a shop with Bushmaster Carbon 15's in 9mm on sale!

I like the idea of an AR type rifle that shoots relatively inexpensive 9mm so I bought one on the spot for $800. I've since picked up 5 additional magazines for it. Shooting it is lots of fun and quite a bit less expensive than .223/5.56.

I'm seriously considering ordering a 20'' AR15 Varmint Upper Half; 5.56 NATO; Stainless steel, 1-8 twist; 2 piece alum free float for $360 from Model 1 Sales. When lowers are available again I'd make a complete rifle. For now I could use my .223/5.56 lower to play with it.

I also recently picked up some Wolf ammo:

500 rounds of 62 grain .223. (20 round boxes)
640 rounds of 122 grain 7.62X39 (in a spam can)
500 rounds of 122 grain 7.62X39 (20 round boxes)
900 rounds of 9mm (in a spam can)

All in celebration of the election of a new president.

I think Pres. Clinton and Pres. Elect Obama have done more for the sales of military style rifles/carbines and military type ammo both foreign and domestic than any other single factor in American history.

...I wonder how they feel about that?

"assault rifle" doesn't denotate what it is used for. It is a specific type of firearm that is capable of select fire. Saying your AR-15 is an assault rifle because you use it to "assault" intruders, is like saying that my single action .22 revolver is a "machine gun", because I like to shoot it at old washing machines.

I went to the gunshop sturday and picked up an RRA AR pistol.. the owner said it just came in the night before.. lucky me i guess?? lol now i just need to pick up one more ar and an ak and then i will be mildly content with my black rifle collection..

There's gonna be a FLOOD of these guns after the first of the year when the manufacturers have caught up and people are broke and in debt from the wife buying too many christmas presents. Each kid has to get a present from santa, from mom, from frosty the snowman, from dad, a gift from each of the reindeer, and an extra one for good measure-oh and one specifically to open on christmas eve. And this is on top of presents for the neighbors, a plate of cookies for everyone at work, and a donation to the salvation army every time she passes the bell ringer. Bingo! I went to the store today to purchase a DPMS AP4 carbine and they wouldn't budge on the price so I told the guy I would see him in a couple of months.
