I'm a sucker for good, low-cost guns. Interested in the EAA Match in .45 after trying the CZ 97 but found the grips a little too stout. Looking at the EAA's, can't for the life of me find someone that regularly stocks them. Any ideas?

Check out discountgundealer on gunbroker. He regularly has Match's in stock. It appears right now all he has online is a 10mm, however.

Yeah - I pass by Gunbroker pretty much every day. I don't think I would use a 10mm (plus there is a good bit of discussion about frame cracking with the 10mm).

Reed's has the Match in other calibers, but not in .45, and there appear to be no .45 conversion kits either.

oh well, guess I'll play the waiting game...

@EdLaver- Never seen one at the Gander's in Houston. They are, however, terribly over-priced on other guns. I'll go talk to their gun counter and see how much to order one - thanks for the tip!

Actually, on Witness guns, the only stories I have heard relate to slide cracking. And, not the slides used on the Elite series guns. The rounded, or slim profile, or scalloped slides on the standard and polymer frame guns have had some cracking issues.

Some of the early Colt Delta Elites had issues with frame cracking. That was over 20 years ago, however.

In any event, not suggesting you get a 10mm. Just saying that he usually gets one match in each caliber. The 10mm takes to longest to sell. I would bet around July 1 he gets another batch.
