Where to get Lee conicals for ROA?

I have the mold and have a few bullets too, if you pay the postage I'll send you a few for free to test but bear in mind I'm in France

I get some creep in my 220 lees with heavy 777 loads, so I just back off the load and no problem. With full charge, they'll creep enough to start interferring on about the last two rounds in the cylinder. I'd hunt with the heavy loads, but just shooting, heck, why shoot such a hot load? It is screamin', though, up over 1200 fps. I like to keep 'em down under 1000 for pleasure, anyway, easier on my shootin' hand.

I can load full charge with Pyrodex and not reach 1000 fps, just over 900, so I often just shoot pyrodex, but I like 777, shoots cleaner.

Never tried 2F. I just load 25 grain equivs of 777 and take up the slack with corn meal for a pleasure load. It's quite accurate and easy on the hand. A full charge of the stuff kinda hurts.

I LIKE the sulfur smell, but I'm not allergic to it. It reminds me of the black I could be shooting if the gubment didn't interfer with my ability to get it. Black is gumier than Pyrodex, though. 777 is the cleanest for sure. I used to gum up my 51 navy in 40 rounds or so with black back in the day. I can put 100 rounds through that gun no problems with 777. I load IT light, too.

i like grits as much as the next guy

But i cant see cooking them at the end of my barrel, when hunting 300lb plus mi. thumb region deer i shoot full house loads,so i practice with full house loads, and that's 40 gr 3f 777 under 255 gr hornady cowboy bullet, knocks them flat, for plinking i like the pistol pellets although i have to clean up thoroughly before going near my daughter. my buddy gave me a tin of black, and I'm going to try it ,for authenticitys sake during reenactments.

When I load the Lee .456 220gr. conical in my modified Pietta 58' I use 28gr. Goex FFF, the chambers are reamed to .4510 so the heel of the conical fits perfectly in the chamber for loading.

28gr. FFF with the 220gr. gives me approximatly 700 FPS. & 239 Ft. Lbs. approximatly what a .45 Schofield load would give.
The slightly higher velocity is probably due to the projectile being .0015 larger than the grove diameter of the barrel building pressure as it goes, the only explanation I can think of.
