Ammoman is out of bulk .308. Aim Surplus is back-ordered on Portugese surplus.

Is the cheap .308 starting to dry up? I hope not. If it does, maybe Silver Bear or some other inexpensive manufacturer will pick up making .308. Wolf lists it on their website, but I"ve never seen a box of Wolf .308.

I wish I could help you, but my stash of Hirtenberger .308 is still strong, so I haven't bothered to shop for any for a long time. Maybe it's a cyclical thing and you'll just have to wait for more surplus to hit the country. Of course, there's probably SOMEBODY out there with surplus .308 for sale, but it might be pricey if it is getting scarce. Good luck.

Yes, it is starting to dry up. Last year, I could get all the suplus .308, .223, and 30-06 I wanted.

Now the S African is just about gone, Port and Danish are drying up as well. Even the Korean 30-06 is getting harder to come by.

I've had the best luck at shows recently.

Wolf .308? :uhoh:

In the lastest Shotgun News J&G Sales is advertising Port .308 for $143 per thousand.

Kiesler Wholesale is advertising 900 rounds for $125.

SOG International's ad has 160 round cans for $24.95. Knock off two bucks per can at two cans and two more at four cans.

I bought a gun from SOG once, but my only connection to the rest of these firms is reading their ads in SN.
