Where would you go?

Somewhere where I can get American firearms, Scotch whisky, Italian Food, German cars and Swedish wimminz.

This country is mine. We grew up together and I like it here. I especially like all the many kinds of people. I'm staying.

Couldn't make me do it, not with a family.

If I had to chose, it'd be Canada. They speak our language and largely have a similar culture (in the parts I'd move to, at least).

There isn't really much of a history in my family of running from tyranny. Or running to it - not empty fisted, at least.

You'll be quite empty fisted among those Canadians sissies,Caimlas.
New Zealand may be a better English speaking bet.

it would be a 'have to situation' I am not sure of other laws in other countries, but anyone know what countries have the right to own guns? Not just sporting guns, But a nice collection of 25plus various types. I sure would not want to end up some where I am not allowed to own a firearm.

I would move to that other country you know the one with the song, "The stars at night are big and bright deep in the heart of ......."

New Zealand, beautiful country, no dangerous animals, bugs, snakes, or anything else for that matter.(unlike OZ) They do require to register all guns but once you do you can buy pretty much anything you want. Oh and they have the best looking women i've ever seen in one country. There must be something in the water because i noticed they all had huge ****

please correct me if I am wrong, but isn't New Zealand a country where it is against the law to defend yourself under any circumtances with a firearm?

There are a lot of them that i like. Finland, Eireland, the canadian rockies, Some parts of Tajikstan/Kyrgyzia/Kazakhstan/Xinjiang. I live here because my family is pretty much here, but if I had cause to move elsewhere, i think I'd manage to keep and bear arms in spite of any associated difficulties.

Pretty world out there.

PS. Monrovia is a city, Liberia is the country, it's easy to get a gun there, but easy to get a bullet too, or so i hear.

I am eyeballing Costa-Rica. Love that Dominican Republic's nudy beaches though! Belize primary language is English and I have been told $50K ina banks grants citizenship.

Montanna, Alaska or Texas. If things ever got that bad in this country they would likely form their own nations and withdraw from the union. I want to be on the right side in this matter. But if things are bad enough that I have to leave than I have failed.

Outside of the 'own your own island' thing - which is really the way to go, there's terraforming, building your own land like those folks in Dubai.

But realistically anywhere like a a smallish island/country where you could Free State them, i.e. push the politics in a favorable direction by pushing the demographics and getting a few thousand gun owners to move with you.

Thought about trying to go to NZ a few years ago. More sheep than people and actively looking for skilled immigrants. Amazing environments and scenery, couple of "must see before you die" spots. The gun thing was a bit of a sticking point, it seemed like a) self defense was frowned on, and b) you could own pretty much any long gun you wanted, but pistols were impossible.

Always thought Mauritius would be nice; continental flavor, exotic locale, tropical weather.

Alaska!
In every zombie movie it is always where teh survivors are.
For some reason Hawaii never makes it despite being an isalnd.

IIRC the gun laws in France are restrictive but not draconian. Of course, it's still France.

I've seen a couple of references to Mexico, just FYI Mexico has some of the most restrictive firearms laws in the world.
