I'd kinda like to see the big names...

Remington Golden Saber, Speer Gold Dot, Hornady TAP, Winchester Ranger...

and just because, the Federal Hydra Shok... I'd like to see how the supposedly "inferior 70's technology" would stack up against some of the newer offerings...

Hornady TAP, Remington Golden Saber +P, and Gold Dot Short Barrel. A comparo of the GD vs the GD Short barrel from the same gun would be interesting.

gold dot short barreled i have been wondering about these.

hornaday tap as i carry these.

double tap, +p i have also wondered about them too.

Federal Hydra-Shok Personal Defense , i carry these as well

Fiocchi brand would be good, any thing the Germans make for the 9mm, would be hot. (Fiocchi is not german) The bullet could be any design.

The reason I mention the above, is most are going for the hp and neither of the above are. Just to observe the difference would be good. Straight on is better for if the design is not right, tough to go through a windshild they mention, do to deflection.

Jim Cirillo did many tests and came up with some interesting projectile designs.

If it was the 357 Sig, Fiocchi brand, it would be a good one to test IMHO...

Silver Tip Hollow points would be interesting. Alledgedly, there was a shootout in St. Johns County, FL. Both the Deputy and the BG had 9mm's with Silvertip Hollow points. As the story was relayed to me, not one body panel or window on either of their cars were penetrated. They began calling the STHP "rubber bullets." Out of 2 mags fired, they both missed each other.

fearless...
I find that hard to understand since the windows on the sides of vehicles are very easy to damage heck an air gun does a number on them.

Not the front wind shield or the back one though. The windshild is laminated and the side windows are not. I am not sure, maybe the cop cars are different but the civilian model vehs have to be, well that, civilian. No bullet proof stuff:uhoh:

What angular offset would you like to see in this test? Right now, I'm looking at tilting the windshield at 45 degrees with respect to the horizontal and 15 degrees with respect to the vertical plane. The block will be set back 18" from the rear of the windshield and covered in light clothing. This is FBI test #6... any ideas on what to do with the rest of the windshield?

It looks as though the Speer Gold Dot +P is in the lead by a wide margin. Are there any reasons for this, or is this a function of 'chance'?

I voted for it simply because I am going to be buying a 9mm soon, and plan to keep it loaded with Gold Dots at +p velocities for self defense, so it is the most relevant to me. I would guess the same reason so many others picked them.
I'll either end up with Double Tap, or Georgia arms, or some other maker who loads +p with Gold dots.

I think the Gold Dot JHP +P should be used. This is a common round found in most stores/shops. Its also a very good quality round as well. The vast majority of people do buy the +P ammo to carry because it gives a little edge to the performance. I think the regular (non short barrel) Speer Gold Dot 9mm 124 grain +P would be a great round to do.

+1 for the GDJHP+P - It's what I carry in my BHP and Taurus PT92 truck gun.

As far as a common round, what about the Winchester White box 125 gr. JHP +P stocked at most Wally Worlds?

Just a thought.

Shoot the boys in the middle and passenger seat with something different. :)
